Guest guest
Dear Sri Sadagopan, adiyen can understand your frustration at having missed this utsavam. adiyen has attended most of these programs, but has seen none like this function before. It brought together people from various Srivaishnava organizations to celebrate the arrival of Nammazhwar in the USA. adiyen enjoyed every bit of it. adiyen has a word to say about Sri Krishna Kanumalla. He is 25 years old. He has been in the country for the last 7 years or since the age of 18. At an age when most of us lead carefree lives, he spent week after week doing thirumanjanams, Satyanarayana pujas etc., carrying heavy deities. Since the departure of his sister to India and his brother to New Jersey, he is single handedly been handling simultaneous chores like Aradhanam twice a day, cooking for the sthapatis, transporting them to and from the temple, maintaining a large house singlehandedly, a full time job and to top everything, going to school. In addition to these responsibilities, he is the chairman of the construction committee of Sri Ranganatha Temple. Sri Dileepan and Sri Venkat have been working tirelessly to manage the critical stage of construction of Sri Ranganatha Temple. Besides all this Sri Dileepan has prepared the 2000 calendar with many beautiul pictures and a complete listing of all Srivaishnava celebrations. adiyen did not do a fraction of the work and effort put in by these 3 people and it did not occur to even adiyen to call you and ask you why you did not come. Considering how busy the others were, adiyen should have taken the responsibility to find out why you did not show up. Please accept adiyen's apologies. Swami Desikan says in the end of the Paduka Sahasram, that He will not present this work to anybody for their approval, since all sAtwika people will close their eyes to any faults that it may contaion. Since the people in question have dedicated their lives to Sriman Narayana and are working tirelessly in His service adiyen requests you not have any grievances against any of them. The same thing happened last year at the time of the 600th anniversary. Whoever was supposed to pick you up did not show up at 7 AM. But your wife called adiyen up at the hall and passed on the information that you were taking the train instead. adiyen got someone to pick you up from the train station. This function took place at the very same hall. adiyen Ramanuja daasan. jagan. ____
Guest guest
Dear Sri Jaganathan: Many thanks for your kind words and the explanation of the heavy load that Sri Krishna is carrying. My only complaint was about the breakdown in communications that led to this quandary. I have now put this incident behind in my mind . I will continue to serve Sri RanganathA even from a distance thru the likitha Kaimkaryam .Those five hours of waiting gave me the time to prepare the articles on " AzhwArs and Sri RanganAthA " that I am presenting currently .That itself is a great joy. Thanks very much for your thoughtful note. Please send me your mailing address so that I can send you the CD ROM on AchArya RaamAnujA . With best Wishes, V.Sadagopan At 05:23 PM 12/30/99 PST, you wrote: >Dear Sri Sadagopan, > >adiyen can understand your frustration at having missed this utsavam. >adiyen has attended most of these programs, but has seen none like this >function before.
