Celebration of Sri Madhurantakam Swami's 100th TN

Dear Bhaktas,

 

We were blessed with a wonderful tele-Upanyasam on January 2, 1999

by H.H. Srimad Andavan Swami of Srimad Poundarikapuram Ashramam in

which

he instructed us to make the Ranganatha Temple at Pomona, NY verily the

Srirangam (Bhooloka Vaikuntam) of the USA. All accounts of the

Adhyayana Utsavam indicate that the Acharya's wish has come to

fruition. We begin the

new millenium in a grand manner with the Anugraham of H.H. The next

Kaimkarayam has been placed before us by the command, of H.H. i.e., the

100th Tirunakshatram celebration of U.Ve. Sri Madhurantakam Swami. At

the command

of H.H. and several respected Bhagavatas in Srirangam, Adiyen has

agreed

to coordinate efforts for seeking the help and support of Bhagavatas

for

this Kaimkaryam. In the coming days, we shall focus on the multifaceted

contributions of Sri Madhurantakam to our Sampradayam and present an

overview

of his life and works. Adiyen hereby requests all Srivaishnavas who

have been

associated directly or indirectly with Madhurantakam Swami to post

articles from source material in their possession.

 

Very soon, Adiyen will post a note on Sri Madhurantakam Swami's

connection to Sri Ahobila Matham. The 44th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matham

has paid glowing tributes to the Jnana, Vairagya, and Anushtanam of Sri

Madhurantakam Swami.

Madhurantakam Swami was instrumental in bringing to prominence the

Taniyan

composed by Tirukudandai Desikan (founding father of the Munitraya

Sampradayam)

in praise of Sri Adivan Satakopa Yathindra Mahadesikan.
