Guest guest
Although I only minored in Math, I recall that the following are considered to be Infinite: 1. Infinity 2. Infinity plus/minus Infinity 3. (Any Finite Number) / Zero 4. Infinity times (Any Finite non-zero Number) 5. Infinity times Infinity 6. Infinity / (Any Finite positive Number) 7. Infinity to the power (Any Finite positive Number) 8. Infinity to the power Infinity The following are equal to Zero: 1. Zero / (Any Finite number) 2. (Any Finite Number) / Infinity 3. Zero times (Any Finite number) 4. Zero times Infinity 5. Zero to the power Zero 6. Zero plus/minus Zero 7. (Any Finite number) minus itself The following however, are undefined: 1. Zero / Zero 2. Zero / Infinity 3. Infinity / Zero 4. Infinity / Infinity Any corrections to the above are welcome. It is good that Anand's refutation of Advaitic objections were also mathematically valid. However I'm not sure if we can subject all of the Sruti to mathematical tests, or if we should continue in this line of enquiry. Please advise. aDiyEn, -Srinath C. email: xsrinath > > adiyEn (a non-mathematician) does not see any flaw in my proof; > But if it is there, adiyEn requests Mathematicians in the list to > kindly point it out. Anyway, the result that Infinity - Infinity > = Infinity is valid, and sophisticated proof(s) by mathematicians > might be there in their literature. >
