" Dear bAgawathAs, A detailed publication of Sri pillai lOkam Jeer's vyAkyAnam and Sri MaNavALa mA munigaL's " uRai " has been published after a lapse of 108 years (ie after 1891) in 1999. Such publication was released to this world under the holy feet of than oppAr illappan last year at thiru viNNagaram sannithi. (*) poo mannu mAthu porunthiya mArban pugazh malintha pA mannu mAran adi paNinthu unthavan, pal kalaiyOr thAm manna vantha irAmAnusan sarAn aravintham nAm manni vAzha nenchE ! solluvOm avan nAmangaLE - 001 Simple Conceptual Meaning: Sri thiru arangatthu amuthanAr is telling his thiru uLLam that we must have our mind always fixed permanently at the holy thiruvadi of our AchAryAn Sri irAmAnusan. In order to realise such, let us keep chanting the AchArya thanian and his thiru nAmams constantly all the time. Detailed vyAkyAnam: Of this 108 pAsurams, each pAsuram contains or hosts in it the most important thiru kalyAna gunAs and special gunAs of the pradhama AchAryAn, Sri irAmAnusan. In this pAsuram the kalyANa guna is indirectly explained. ie., the speciality of the various AchAryA dhanians and thiru nAmams (of Sri irAmAnusan) are such that, by chanting them, AchAryA's thiruvadi always gets fixed in one's mind unshakably. This is thiruk kalyAna gunA of Sri irAmAnusan. One may ask whether if It doesnot require a focussed meditation to realise something ? or Does it seems that a mere chanting of this powerful thiru nAmam will get one attached permanently to the AchAryAn's thiruvadi ? AchArya dhaniyan is very much powerful. Among such, Sri irAmAnusan's name or thirunAmam excels everyone of them. Mere chanting them will lead one in the long run to a focussed meditation by itself on the powrful inner meaning of this " mathram " or thaniayan or " thiru nAmam " . Then, one will get ultimately fixed to the thiruvadi of their AchAryAn by realizing such. However, since he is using the word " nenchE " using " viLitthal " , It is understood that he is actually commanding one's mind. The EkAram for the " nenchu " ,adds up to make the word ( " nenchu " + " E " = " nenchE " ) " nenchE " in tamil. Such a compounded word means " Listen to me, my mind! " .ie., He is appealing or commanding to " nenchu " or heart or mind. Since Sri thiru arangatthu amuthanAr commands his " manam " or mind or " thiru uLLam " , it clearly indicates that it may be the iterative meditation process during which one may ask their mind to " refocus " again and again on the content of the holy manthram repeatedly and dwell in the meaning of it finally. Mind is supposed to be controlled by the awareness. Awareness tell us about the outside world and how the body perceives them with the sense organs. Now, One is asking the mind to forget this perceptions and instead seek his mind to focus on the manthram or thaniyan or thirunAmam only. This is one of the important foot- step in a dyAnam or meditation. Chanting one's AchAryAn's thaniyan thus will lead one to get attached with the thiruvadi of the AchAryAn.
