Guest guest
Sri: SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha, Dear Bhaktas, Adiyen exchanged a private email with Sriman Sadagopan Swamin on the above verse. Sri Sadagopan Swamin encouraged adiyen to share it on the list. Accordingly, adiyen is attaching the note to this message. Namo Narayana, SriMuralidhara Dasan ********************************************************************* Sri: SrimatE Gopaladesika MahadesikAya Namaha, Dear Sriman Sadagopan Swamin, Thank you very much for a brilliant summary of verse 4. Could it be that the Antarvahini Sarasvati referred to in this verse denote the path of SharaNagati which is succinctly referred to in the Upanishads as a means to attain the Lord? Could contact with/Anugraham of Godha Piratti denote her outpourings which contain the condensed essence of the path of SharaNagati to the lotus feet of Lord Narayana? Consequently, these outpourings bring to the forefront the important messages that lay buried in the Vedas. The references to the waters of Yamuna also bring to mind the work of Swami Alavandar. Specifically, the Stotraratnam containing 65 verses is a consummate elaboration of the dvaya Mantram which in simple terms advocates the doctrine of unconditional, total surrender to His lotus feet. Interestingly, the number 65 is the sum total of the Aksharas contained in the Ashtakshara Mantram, Dvaya Mantram, and the Charma Shlokam. Is it possible that Swami Desikan is suggesting that the inner meanings of these three rahasyams gained from the help of a Sadacharya comes about on account of the Anugraham of Godha Piratti? Adiyen is also reminded of the Yatiraja Sapthathi salutation " VigAhE Yamunam teertham... Yatra KrishNa KruthasthathA " , which reflects the fact that a dip in the waters of Swami Alavandar's Sri Sookthis is akin to the sport of Lord Krishna in the Yamuna waters. Thanks again for your wonderful note which generated these reflections. Please pardon adiyen for his indulgence.
