Dear SrI VaishNavas,

 

On the day of auspicious occasion of SrI Jayanti celebrations,

I pray at the lotus feet of SrImath Ahobila MAlOla Nrusimhan

and SrImath Ahobila MutAchArya SrI LakshmI Nrusimha Divya pAdukA

sEvaka SrIvaN SatakOpa SrI NarAyANa YatIndra MahA DESika Swamy

and make the following ViNNappam.

 

I am very happy to say that SrI SatakOpan Swamy has joined with

adiyEn in writing about the greatness of Swami DESika's SrI

SOkties. SrI SatakOpan Swamy has wished to write series of

articles on Swami DESika's Chillarai Rahasya Grantas. adiyEn

will continue to write about Swamy DESika Prabandams. I thank

all of you for your encouraging words regarding the prelude

that I had posted regarding the same last week. I seek the

blessings of Bhagavath-BhAgavatas regarding the same.

 

I would like to mention few points regarding the above kainkaryams

as follows:

The aim of these series is to present portions from Swamy Desika's

SrI sUkthIs with simple English commentaries based on our Aacharya's

commentaries. The " Rahasya-arthams " (traditional secret meanings of

the Rahasya-traya) will NOT be presented but it will be only outlined

as per the SAstra-limits. Only non-rahasya grantams will be explained.

With an aim of learning and enjoying our Swami DESika's SrI sUkthIs,

the series is initiated. I will follow Shreemath U.Ve.Uttamoor Swamy,

Shreemath U.Ve.Chetloor Swamy, Shreemath Azagiya Singar and Shreemath

U.Ve. Vangeepuram Navaneetham Ramadesikaachar Swamy whose commentaries

and notes I have studied under the feet of scholars. Many works of

Swami Desika will be introduced and an outline of the same will be

presented. The articles shall have the single theme of stressing

Visistadvaita Shree Vaishnava philosophy and practice as

" THE Philosophy and Practice " , which is parama-vaidikam, flawless,

rational and universal. Especially, I would like to write

" Para-matha-bhangam " in detail following " anapAya-prabha " of

Shreemath U.Ve.Utaamoor Swamy, which was taught to me. The

frequency of posting articles will be once in a week. Your

suggestions and comments are always welcome. With the full

guidance from a SrI VasihNava AachArya, doing traditional

kAlakshEpam of these grantas will help a person to know these

grantas in detail.
