Vyasa and Vaalmeeki

Dearest Srivaishnava Bhagawathas,

 

Sri Sudharshan had asked regaridng VAlmeeki and Vyasa.

adiyEn's two cents worth: (with regard to the query on if they are Advaitins,

Dwaitins or Visistadvaithins)

 

1. Swamy Desikan in YathirAja sapthathi says: Vyasar and Valmeeki have become

laughing stock for Advaithins. Because, There is no Rama; Krishna. Everything is

" poi " (false) and No personal form of Lord with no attributes- no kalyANA gunAs;

NirguNa brahman with no attributes is their philosphy.

 

2. Any vaideekan- who believes in Vedas, will realise that All Vedic statements,

(sruthi vAkyams) need to be understood and interpreted in such a way that it

does not contradict with any other statement of Vedas. Result: Only

VisishtAdvaitha is possible. I doubt there can be any doubt hence that they are

Visishtadvaithins. VisistAdvaitha is not started by Ramanuja. It was there even

from the time of Tankar, Dramidar, et al.
