Guest guest
Dear SrI Srinath Chakravarty, You have written: >I would say that a vedantin is one who follows the tenets of the >Upanishads, while a vaideeka is one who has studied the veda and >practices it in everyday life. There may be more expanded definitions >for these terms but I think this is sufficient. Your answer to my question is appreciable. This itself eliminates the Advaitins etc from the class Vedantin and Vaideeka. Refer: Rahu MimAmsaka and Kabanda MimAmsaka comparision in Paramatha Bhangam & AnapAya-praBha. Also refer the pAsuram VedangaL mowli vyAsan viritha nannUl pAdangal padinAril Isan padi maraiththu bhEdangal illai endru Orbiramap pichchu eiyambum bhOdankazhindavanai BUDHDAR MAATTUDAN PUTTUVAME (Prachchanna bowdhda bhangAdhikAram) (Please note that the above Tamil-transliteration may have spelling mistakes) You have written: >The only starting point for this would be the SankarabhAshya. That >however is neither a pramANa for SrivaishNavas, nor is its discussion >permitted within the premises of malolan net. And needless to say, it >has been successfully refuted by our Swami Desikan many times over. >Perhaps you're asking this only to make me restate the obvious. That is fine. Any way I did not ask you to quote from SankarabhAshya but only from BAdarAyaNa's Brahma SUtra. I stress that it is not possible because it is imposible to find Advaita philosophy in prastAna-trayam (VedAntha-GIta-Brahma sUtra). prastAna-trayam talks only VisishtAdvaita SrI VaishNavam - The parama-vaidika-matham. You have written: >This is why it is important >to publish and spread the convincing works of our AchAryas, such as >the paramArthabhUshaNa by Sri. Uttamoor swAmi. This point is wonderful. I appreciate it very much. This divine kanikaryam is in progress. SrImath Anand K Karalapakkam is doing this noble service. You have written: >Sri. Hari, we are both on the same side - you just don't see it that >way yet. I hope this message makes things clear. I also feel it is >best that we end our discussion here. My apologies once again >if I have caused offence. That is fine. I put an end our discussion regarding this topic with you. Thanks & Regards M.S.HARI Ramanuja Daasan (mshari) __________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=
