9th Charumasya sankalpa utthanam - moving moments

It was the last day of the 9th Chaturmasya Sankalpam of Srimad

Azhagiyasingar. Srimad Azhagiyasingar was very much pleased to

see lots of bhavagathas coming to Sri Sannidhi to offer their

prayer to Srimad Azhagiyasingar and Sri mAlOlan during the

sankalpam. Srimad Azhagiyasingar mentioned in the upanyAsam that

so much flower was offered to Sri mAlOlan and sometimes it took more

than 45 minutes during the abhigamana arAdhanam, just to adorn

Sri mAlOlan with flowers brought by the bhagavathas. Srimad

Azhagiyasingar mentioned " sankalpam rombha super " . Srimad

Azhagiyasingar explained, only by using that word super

Srimad Azhagiyasingar could make everyone understand the

real feeling about the sankalpam. Srimad Azhagiyasingar told the

bhagavathas to come for the utthanam the next day morning at 5.

 

It was 4.30am the next day, adiyEn and his father went to the Sri

Mutt. By the time Srimad Azhgiyasingar had already left the mutt

premises and was seated in a cane chair just outsite the mutt's

entrance. One of the kainkaryapara was distributing the " yAtrA

dhAnam " . Srimad Azhgiyasingar made sure that everyone who came

there in the early hours got the " yAtrA dhAnam " . Such is the

vAtsalyam of our dear Acharyan.

 

It was really nice to see such a big gathering. Srimad Azhagiyasingar

mentioned that it was his thiru-ullam to come to Selaiyur again after

the completion of the North India Sancharam.

 

At about 4.55 am the vimanam (the vehicle by which Srimad

Azhagiyasingar goes for Sancharam) came out of the mutt. Srimad

Azhagiyasingar went around the vimanam couple of times and

inspected it. Then Srimad Azhagiyasingar prostrated before the

vimanam and boarded it. There was an intenese silence. Mood was

sullen. The vimanam started moving slowly towards Nanaganallur

and adiyEn could see tears rolling from the eyes of some of the

bhagavathas around. Probably everyone must have thought when they are

going to offer prayers to Srimad Azhagiyasingar and Sri malOlan again.

Whenever Srimad Azhagiyasingar leaves for sancharam from one place

to another this will be the feeling of the bhagavathas in town.

 

Personally it was a great two months for adiyEn too. (though

adiyEn could not make it to the muth every single day).

 

Came back to California after a three and half months leave and

only thing adiyEn could do from here is to recall those wonderful

moments.
