named " The project popularisation of DESika's Works Sabha " ,

16, Subramanya nagar cross street, Near Rangarajapuram Railway gate,

Chennai - 600024, India.

 

1. Oorondru thAnE amayAdO scheme: In this scheme, he is motivating

people (8-25 age group) to recite SwAmy DESika's works (stotra,

prabanda etc) and gives certificates from SrI PowndarIkapuram SrImath

GopAlaDESika mAhA DESika SwAmy. For higher knowledge in the same,

by the grace of SrI PowndarIkapuram SrImath GopAlaDESika mAhA DESika

SwAmy, he is giving titles, ghanta and even bhagavath-SAligrama with

awards. This scheme is being implemented in Tamil nadu and in Singapore.

Interested people can popularise this scheme in their place. Please

write to me to get the application forms, certificates and awards.

 

2. Shree VaishNava SampradAya anushtAna sikshA kendra: This is again

initiated under the niyamanam and blessings of AachAryas. The centres

for the same (2 in number) have been started in chennai under the

guidance of great scholars like SrI U.Ve.PazhavEri SatakOpAcharya

SwAmy, SrImath Ahobilamatha ShreekAryam SwAmy, SrI U.Ve.M.K.

SrinivAsAchArya Swamy. This is an extraordinary kainkaryam through

which SrI C. SEshAdri swAmy teaches a 3 months course (on weekends)

for people (8-80 years of age group) on the following:

a. trikAla-SandyAvandanam

b. tiruvArAdhanam

c. amAvAsya-mAsa-graha-tarpaNams

d. yagnyOpavItha dhAranam

e. AavaNi-avittam

f. puNyAhavachanam

g. udaga-sAnthi

h. pancha-sUkthams

i. VEda-SAthumarai

j. SEvA-kAla-SAthumarai etc.

The chairman of this kendra is SrI U.Ve. Ananta NarasimhachAryar,

SrI Rangam.

 

Apart from these wonderful and practically useful kainkaryams

strictly as per the SAstra, SrI C.SEshAdri SwAmy is also printing

the articles of great scholars on VisishtAdvaita SrI VaishNava

philosophy and practice in the form of pamphlets and booklets

and distributing them to people comming to temples and muths.

 

This swAmy approaches only AptAs and suhruds for supporting his

divine kainkaryams.

 

We (SrI MAdhavakkannan swAmy, adiyEn, SrI Vijaykumar) have

planned to send atleast Indian Rupees 10,000 for him every month.

SrI C.SEshAdri SwAmy is well known in muth and in Asrams.

I pray at the feet of noble SrI VaishNava Kainkarya SrIs

to kindly consider this mail and do the needful. We need

another INR 10,000 every month to support this swAmy so that

he can set up more centres for the above mentioned divine and

noble kainkaryams which are the urgent need for the youth and

aged people to follow our parama-vaidika-dharma.

Dear Bhagavatas,

I am delighted to see this posting on Sriman Seshadri Swamy.

I personally met him on a number of occassions during my trips to India.

As recently as this May 2000, when I was at Kanchipuram during the Garuda

Seva, this humble and noble mahatma, conducted one of those competetions on

reciting Desika Strotras, for children between 5 and 18 years of age. Even

though I am the most unqualified person for that job, still he graciously

gave me the job of being a judge, to run that competetion, and I was

extremely happy to be part of it.

I was so happy to see those yong Srivaishnava children, not only reciting

the Desika Strotras, even catching up with a mere prompt of the first word

in most of the strotras. I was really blessed to be part of that program on

that day.

May I request you all, sirs, to encourage this mahatma,

Sriman Seshadri Swamy, who personifies this Verse of Swamy Desika:

" Naasti pitraarjitam kinchit - na mayaa kinchidaarjitam " ,

to continue his noble work, and let us all help him in every way we can.

Please enroll me as part of this noble kainkaryam, and I will be honoured if

I can help for one month remittance for those expenses.

I will try my best to motivate a few devotees in USA also and please let me

know how we can co-ordinate this work, channelising the funds properly.
