Dear SishyAs of Sri Matam :

 

We are indeed blessed to have Srimath Azhagiya Singar

as our most revered AchAryan .His kaimkaryams to grow

the AdhyAthma SampradhAyam ( The UpadEsa Kramam dealing

with JeevAthma-ParamAthma sambhandham )through tireless

sanchArams , NithyArAdhanam to MalOlan , UpanyAsams,

Grantham publications , performance of Pancha SamskAra

rites and offering our AthmA , the Lord's property

to Him thru the BharanyAsam process and lifting our

burdens once and for all are LEGENDARY .

 

His Executive skills in administering the day to day

activities and planning skills to free the future

generations of Azhagiyasingars from financial worries

through creation of core funds to maintain the ArAdhanam

and sishya paripAlanam are EXTRAORDINARY.

 

It is indeed rare to find some one with this unique

combination of SampradhAyic Scholarship , anushtAna

sampath , pravachana prabhAvam , limitless compassion

for His sishyAs and Sri VaishNavA Community and

AchArya Bhakthi .

 

We are the most fortunate among fortunate humans

to claim Srimath NaarAyaNa YathIndhra MahA Desikan

as our revered AchAryan .As declared by shAsthrAs ,

AchArya vamsam starting with our immediate

AchAryan going all the way upto the SaraNya dampathis

is indispensable for us to gain Moksha Siddhi . Without

the SadAchAryan , we are nothing and nobody and are

just leaves driven in the wind from here to nowhere.

 

It is important to dwell on the wisdom behind

the oft-quoted statement asserting the essentiality

of having a SadAchAryan :

 

aacharyavatthayA Mukthou tasmAth AchAryavAn BhavEth

 

The key word in the above passage is " AachAryavAn " or

being One linked to a SdaAchAryan . Such a person is

recognized to have " AchAryathvam " . Without the mark of

" AchAryathvam " , freedom from the cycles of births

and deaths (Moksham ) will never be attained . That is

why we gratefully fall at the sacred feet of our

AchAryan and cry out :

 

" Tamimam Sarva Sampannam AachAryam Pitharam Gurum " .

 

Our Revered AchAryan's ThirunAmam is " Sri NarAyaNa

Yathindhra MahA Desikan " . Therefore , we can

comfortably paraphrase the SlOkam of VishNu PurANam

in aspirit of salutation to Him :

 

thvamEva MaathA cha PithA thvamEva

ThvamEva Bhandhusccha GurusthvamEva

ThavamEvA VidhyA DhraviNam thvamEva

ThvamEva SARVAM mama DevadEva

 

He is our caring Mother , Protecting Father,

comforting relative , the blessed preceptor,

the treaurehouse of knowledge , the undiminishing

wealth and EVERY THING THAT MATTERS.He is our Lord of

Lords and the NadamAdum Dhaivam .

 

Our Revered AchAryan is the eighth in the Sri matam

AchArya Paramparai to have chosen the dhivya Naamam

of Sriman NaarAyaNan as His Aasrama svIkaraNa Naamam.

To us , He is the insignia of AshtAkshari (Moola manthram).

 

He incarnated on December 15, 1926 (Akshaya Kaarthikai

UthtirattAthi ) and will be crossing into His 75th year

on December 6 , 2000 .IT IS A VERY HISTORIC OCCASION .

Our prayers are to the Dhivya Dampathis (MalOlan)

for Him to race towards the veda PrAyam with

the soubhAgyams of health and ever-increasing

Kaimkarya Sri.

 

He was crowned as the Ahobila Mata SimhAsanAdhipathi

on August 24, 1992 . He has just completed a reign

marked by illustrious successes during these short

period of Eight Years . The history of these Eight

years is to be written in golden words .What our

revered AchAryan has achieved sofar through the power

of NithyArAdhanam of Malolan in the time honored way

is only a prelude to what He is planning to accomplish

for the growth of the sampradhAyam in the coming years.

 

When we prostrate before Him in the spirit of

" Gururasi gathiscchAsi JagathAm " ( Thou art

my AchAryan , the way and unquestionable refuge ) ,

we think of all what He has done for Sri VaishnavA

communiy sofar and what he is planning to do in

the coming years.

 

All of us out of Kruthaj~nathai (Gratefulness )

for what our revered AchAryan has blessed us with

should prostrate before His sacred feet and help

Him accomplish the noble goals He has set for

the maintenance of the SampradhAya parisuddhi through

His major Kaimkaryam : NithyArAdhana Core project .

 

This most important project aims at assembling

a substantive core funds ,the interest from which

will help remove the worries about any interruptions to

nithya AaarAdhanam and other daily kaimkaryams

at MalOlan's Sannidhi for now and for the future.

 

AdiyEn would like to make the following appeal to

Fellow SishyALs and abhimAnis of Sri Matam :

 

Please join in celebrating the 75th birthday

of Sri NaarAyana YathIndhra MahA Desikan in a grand

manner by contributing tax free funds to the NithyArAdhanam

Core Project for MalOlan .

 

Please let adiyEn know of the AhObila matam SishyAs

who are residing overseas so that we can reach them

and appeal to them to join in this Kaimkaryam .

Lack of knowledge about the Sri matam sishyALs

is a handicap in communicating with them .Our MalOlan list

is only a small subset of the large sishya paramparai

of Sri matam . Many of the SishyAs are doing well

overseas and it is my sincere hope that

they would join in and hasten the journey towards

the completion of the assembly of the needed NithyArAdhanam

Core Funds.
