As we all know, great scholars of sasthrAs are often vairAgya sIlars who would not seek anything in return for sharing their " wealth " (knowledge). This task often fell to the " devigaL " (spouse) who traveled with the Swami. The Swami will give the discourse over long periods of time and the task of securing income for sustenance would fall into the hands of the spouse. Similarly, Srimad Azhagiya Singar says, Sri Malolan is the Vairagya Seelar who gives his " wealth " to bhagaathas and then stays mute. The task of securing the needed funds for running the Sri Sannidhi falls into the hands of Sri Malolan's spouse, Srimad Azhagiya Singar. Paraphrasing Srimad Azhagiya Singar, " like a good wife to a maha panditA, I will protect every paisa that the Sri Sannidhi receives and use it for the benefit of our Sampradayam.
