Guest guest
Dear SrI Malolan Cadambi, > Does not mahavishvasam make prapatti a rather difficult sidhOpayam? > I seem to lack insight into maha vishvasam. Prapaththi is not a sidhOpAya but it is a sAdyOpAya. sidhOpAya is Mukunda: SrIman NArAyaNa: who is ready with sankalpam to grant moksha for the person who did sAdyOpaya. For those who do not do sAdyOpAya, he will not grant moksha :-) SrIman NArAyaNa is the upAya only for those who do either adwAraka-prapaththi or sadwAraka-prapaththi. His upAyathvam for these two adhikAris has differences, which I will write in detail. As I have received overwhelming responses as appreciation and requests to elaborate the article on nyAsa-vidyA in detail, I am writing an elabroate article on the same and will shortly post it in the list. Your question on "Maha ViSisvAsam being difficult anga of prapaththi" will be answered in that. > But, I also understand that prapatti is the most easiet > sidhOpaya during this kali yugam. Prapaththi is not a sidhOpAya but it is a sAdyOpAya. I will elabroatly explain the terms sidhOpAya and sAdyOpAya in the article. > Second: This is a different matter: > My elders say that I should not perform abhivadanam for the > lord in the temple. But I have to perform it during > Sandhayvandanam. Why is this so? abhivAdanam is the way of introducing oneself to elders. It consist of telling 1. the names of RishIs of gOtra and gOtra name 2. sUtra name 3. vEda-SAka name 4. name along with identification :-) like "Sarman" in name. This is a vaidika sampradAya-anushtAnam. It should NOT be done when you are in a gOshti, temple, before a person resting in bed etc. But in sandhyAvandanam and in certain vaidika-karmas, doing abhivAdanam is a integral anushtAnam of the karma.
