How to introduce oneself. adiyEn precedes one's name .If there are villages or vamsam , that can be added after the name . You can state: adiyen Anand SrinivAsan from village or town and then say adiyEn works now in USA. With elders , who are not AchAryans , address them with devarIr and use adiyEn during the course of the conversation . >2. How to ask for the other person's intro? Are you referring to AchAryan as the other person ? AchAryan would not need an introduction . >3. how to invite for food. Yathis accept bikshai . It is an elaborate process to request Him formally to accept Bikshai. They eat once a day their main meal after elaborate rites. The food prepared for them and the left over from the food prepared for them is known as Maathulam and is sought after by the sishyAs , who are priveleged to perform the BikshAs . AchAryAs normally have their food cooked by special parichArakAs and it will be difficult for them to accept invitations for eating anywhere outside their environment .Fruits are always welcomed to be presented as maryAdhai , when you meet them . >4. How to ask questions on a discourse that has been given. >..... AdiyEnukku oru sandEham . Azhagiya Singar konjam viLakka VENum or Andavan should help me with this passage just covered . > >Bascially, what i'm looking for is an etiquette course. Please use adiyEn as a prefix in any conversation. Even if you are nodding to show that you are following the explanation , please intersperse adiyEn wherever needed to show that you are grasping the points made. Please Conclude the discussion with DhanyOsmi and seek AchAryan's niyamanam to leave and prostrate before them to seek their blessings. While speaking to AchAryans , please have your palm in front of your mouth as a mark of respect.Practically, no saliva should fall on the AchAryA , while engaged in conversing . The body language is very important .Bhavyam is the rule of the day. Please remember that AchAryAs are the most accessible inspite of their time pressures due to anushtAnam and aarAdhanam and demands of KaalkshEpam . You would have to wait patiently some times .They will take note of you and ask for your kshEmam and bless you. I am sure that other BhaagavathAs will add more . Best wishes, > >I remember that somebody put up such a list somewhere. >(not sure if it was Sri Anand Karalapakkam or someone >else). I tried searching for this with no success. > >Anand > > > >Srimate Sri Laksminrisimha Divya Paduka Sevaka >Srivan Satakopa Sri Narayana Yatindra Mahadesikaya Nama: > > >
