Guest guest
> Sri: > Srimathe Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Divya Paduka sevaka srivan Satagopa Sri > Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikaya Namah: > AdiyEn's Dhandavat Pranamams to the learned members of the net The last few days were simply heavenly in Jakarta and those of us who were present in the temple during the period had a taste of how it would be in Sri Vaikuntam. The alankaram to Jakarta Balaji this year made one wonder if Thirumalai Venkatachalapathi himself came here to give us a chance to serve him so intimately. AdiyEn will try to load the photos taken during the function in the next few days. Some people were serving directly near Perumal and many others serving indirectly in various ways but all for the same purpose i.e. to please the Lord. Some people took pleasure in serving the Bhagavatals in such spontaneous and moving ways. The Lord is actually more pleased when we serve his Bhaktas. Even in our materialistic relationships we can notice that the easiest way to please the Parents is to praise and please their Children. All this reminded adiyEn of a portion from the book, Visistadvaita, authored by Sri. A.S.R. Raghavan and published by TTD. The section describing the service rendered by Nitya suris to Sriman Narayana is very appropriate here and adiyEn thought of sharing the portion with devotees. All the above mentioned Nityas have some service or other assigned to them and they discharge it with great care and love. There are numberless other Nityas who are not doing service of any particular kind or nature. They behold the former with reverence and pride, and derive as much delight by that sight as that of those that are actually discharging that service. The joy of the Lord is their own joy and so long as the Lord is pleased they are also pleased and satisfied. There is no feeling of rivalry or jealousy in them. They do not for a moment think that some have the honour of doing service which is denied to them. They derive greater joy by attending on those that serve the Lord directly. For it is the maxim of the Spiritual Universe that the joy one gets by being subservient and doing service to those who directly serve the Lord is in no way less, nay, is even more, than that of the latter. That is the secret of the doctrine of the master-servant relationship in the Spiritual World. The Sastras declare that there is desire for mutual service there among the Nityas and every one takes pride in being subservient to another. The added attraction in this years function was the discourse by Sriman M.S. Hari from Singapore. Notwithstanding his busy schedule in Singapore, he accepted our invitation at such short notice and blessed us with 3 lectures. AdiyEn is sure that the powerful speech explaining the only sure and easy way for salvation (Moksham) in this Kali Yuga i.e. Sharanagathi (Total unconditional surrender at the lotus feet of Sriman Narayana) was very well received amongst the nearly 400 people present during the function. The reaction of one devotee is testimony to the power of his Vak - " In one hour Sriman Hari has packed and conveyed what most people would not be able to do in ten hours of talk " . His Darmapatni Srimathi Vijaya Lakshmi also captivated the Bhaktas with rendering of some of the Pasurams with her sweet and melodious voice. On behalf of all Jakarta SriVaishnavas, adiyEn would like to convey our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to this lovely couple and pray that the Lord gives them his choicest blessings and they continue to provide such wonderful kaimkaryams for a long time. AdiyEn is also pleased to inform that on the blessed day of Perumal Bramhotsavam a new e-group named Nama-Indonesia has been launched. This is a forum for discussing and posting articles on our activities here in Jakarta. The details are in the attached mail. Interested persons are requested to become members by subscribing to the free e-discussion group. Hope to have many members joining and contributing to the group. All advice and help to run this group in a useful way are most welcome from learned members. While informing that the forthcoming events in our temple are the Dhanurmasa Arambam on 16th December 2000 and Vaikunta Ekadasi on 06 January 2001, adiyEn would like to end this long babbling. > Namo Narayanaya, > AdiyEn Ramanuja Dasan > Ananthakrishna > > > <<Welcome to the nama-indonesia group >> > > > > > Hello, I've added you to my nama-indonesia group at eGroups, a free, easy-to-use email group service. This is an excellent book on our sampradAyam. The author <SrI VaikuNTha vAsi> PudukkOttai SrI A.SrInivAsa RAghavan is a well known reputed scholar of the past. The book is a summarized explanation of many chapters (non-mantra portions) of SrImad Rahasya Traya SAram and the author follows the original very well. It is a must read for all those who are comfortable in English. It is the book which made me get interested deeply in SrImad Rahasya Traya SAram. Please don't miss this book in your collection - A great gift for the English based readers. After reading this book, understanding of many sections of SrI RTS will become quite easy. Probably its out of stock. But, contact TTD anyway. > The added attraction in this years function was the discourse by Sriman M.S. > Hari from Singapore. .... .... > His Darmapatni Srimathi Vijaya Lakshmi also > captivated the Bhaktas with rendering of some of the Pasurams with her sweet > and melodious voice. >On behalf of all Jakarta SriVaishnavas, adiyEn would > like to convey our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to this lovely couple > and pray that the Lord gives them his choicest blessings and they continue > to provide such wonderful kaimkaryams for a long time. Its nice that SrI Hari's lectures were well received at Jakarta. Needless to say, his lectures will be very good. His wife has distinguished herself in the area of singing the pAsurams of AzhwArs, stotras of PUrvAchAryas etc very well. aDiyEn too prays the same from my end. > AdiyEn is also pleased to inform that on the blessed day of Perumal > Bramhotsavam a new e-group named Nama-Indonesia has been launched. My best wishes and prayers to Lord SrIman nArAyaNa for the same ! aDiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan, anantapadmanAbhan. krushNArpaNam.

Your description of the anubhavam of Bhaktha GhOshti is wondeful to read .adiyEn had no idea that there are so many Sri VaishNavites there . " Poliha , Poliha " of Swamy NammAzhwAr's MangaLAsAsanam only comes to mind in htis context. Sriman and Srimathi Hari's tireless kaimkaryam has done so much for a clear understanding of the tenets of Sri VaishNavam as taught and propagated by our PoorvAchAryAs.AdiyEn joins with you for long life blessed with increasing Kaimkarya Sri for this dedicated couple , who have energized GhOshtis sofar at Singapore and Indonesia. I have a copy of the book.It is a very old book...published way back in 1985. It is written in simple english and conveys original meanings of Srimad RTS quite well. If we are not able to get copies from TTD, we could try to secure permission to reprint the book. Please let me know if this is viable. The book starts with the following verse trayyantaih eka-kanthaih tad-anuguna manu vyasamukhyoktibhischa, Sriman nArAyano nah patirakhila tanuh muktido muktabhigyah || (ParadevatA paramarthyadhikAra - RTS of Swami Desikan) I would be glad to be of any help to get this book reprinted. aDiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan, mAlOlan cadAmbi Talk to your friends online with Messenger. http://im.
