Dear Sri Vaishnavas,

 

By the niyamanam of SrI PowndarIkapuram SrImath GopAlaDESika mAhA DESika SwAmy and with the blessings of SrImath AhobilamathAchArya SrI LakshmI Nrusimha Divya pAdukA SEvaka SrIvaN SatakOpa SrI NArAyaNa yathIndra mahA DESika SwAmy a divine noble kainkaryam is being done by SrI C. SEshAdri swAmy in Chennai to popularise Swamy Desikan works. Out of many kainkaryams, he started a scheme called "Oorondru thAnE amayAdO" motivating people (3 - 25 age group) to recite SwAmy DESika's works (stotra, prabanda etc) and gives certificates from SrI PowndarIkapuram SrImath GopAlaDESika mAhA DESika SwAmy.This scheme is started at Singapore and goes very well. To further motivate youth and children, Sri Seshadri Swamy has extended the same scheme to Divya Prabadhams.

 

To encourage youth and children at Singapore, prize will be awarded if youth or children recite the following stotrams or prabandhams.

 

ThiruppallANdu, ThiruppaLLiyezhucchi, ThiruppAvai, KanninunCiruthambu, any one Desika Stotram \ Desika Prabandham

 

1. First Prize - A gold pendant with MahaLakshmi image plus certificate

 

Participant must recite ThiruppallANdu, ThiruppaLLiyezhucchi, ThiruppAvai, KanninunCiruthambu, any one Desika \

Stotram/Desika Prabandham in full

 

2. Second Prize - A silver tumbler with spoon plus certificate

 

Participant must recite any two prabandhams in full

 

3. Third Prize - Azhwar Pasurams Audio Cassette plus certificate

 

Participant must recite any one prabandham in full

 

4. Fourht Prize - Certificate

 

Participant must recite at least one pasuram / slokam from any prabandham / stotram.

 

I request all Sri Vaishnavas at Singapore to join the scheme from Feb 11, 2001 NAMA event and make it a grand success.
