SrI:

SrImathE Gopaladesika Mahadesikaya Namah:

Dearest Srivaishnavas,

Asthikan- (Translation of an article written by asmadhAchAyan)

asthi:- is there- One who believes that “is there” is Asthikan. Which one?

We need to belive that “is there”. There is a jIvAthmA other than this

SarIram. There is a ParamAthmA above this jIvAthmA who directs this jIvan.

There is a place called ParalOkam (SrivaikuNTam) where one can enjoy Him

unceasingly and uninterruptedly without any sorrows at all. Those who

believe this are AsthikAs. Others are all nAsthikAs (atheists).

How can one believe that which we are not able to see?

We build a home for our comfort and to live in. There we also fix up a

geyser in order to have a warm hot water bath for bodily comfort. For

brightness, we fix bright white tube lights. For entertainment and pastime,

we have TV connection and Radio. Then for grinding, ironing clothes, to get

good air circulation, and for all the above- we all use electricity. Can one

see it with naked eye? When we switch off, it does not work. No TV; No

radio; No tube light. But where has the electricity gone? Nowhere. It is

still there. How do we know? Simple. Open the case. And insert your finger.

The answer you get will be “shockingly true that electricity is very much

there.

Thus, inside this body and jIvan there is ParamAthma shakti manifesting

everywhere. Due to this Jivan (athmA) existence and due to His grace we are

able to think with our minds; see with our eyes; hear with our ears; taste

with our mouth; - All due to His grace. When this shakthi (jIvan) gets out

of this body, no seeing; hearing; speaking tasting etc. This AthmA never

ever perishes. It is permanent. It can stay in full Bliss by going to Nithya

(permament) lOkam- (srivaikuNTam). In order to attain that Blissful state of

Absolute enjoyment of serving Him at srivaikuNTam and get limitless

pErAnandham (enjoyment), and to live with full devotion to Sriman Narayanan

in this life, (here are we) wishing you (with AseervAdhams) all the very

best in your devotion.

Narayana Narayana.

All errors /faults are only mine.

Regards

adiyEn Narayana dAsan madhavakkannan
