Guest guest
SrI: SrI Lakshminrusimha ParabrahmaNE namaH SrImatE nArAyaNa yateendra mahAdESikAya namaH namO nArAyaNa! Dear members, Thanks to SrI VAsu for his information following that of SrI JaganAth's. SrI PutthUr SwAmi's 5 volume series is a very good contribution for the tamil readers. Apart from translating Bhagavad RAmAnuja's BhAshyam, rest of his commentary is almost a translation of SrI VEdAnta DESika's TAtparya-Chandrika which he mentions in his Introduction as well. He has also written about whatever differences arise between SrI VEdAnta DESika's commentary and the views of ThennAchAryas at the appropriate places. One with descent knowledge about both the Vadakalai and The~nkalai viewpoints will find this work interesting in those places where SrI Putthur SwAmi discusses such issues. ---------------- SrI PuriSai KrishNamAchArya SwAmi has written a comprehensive narrative series on MahAbhArata which was serialized in SrI Nrusimha Priya. Its Geetha Section is a translation of GItA-BhAshya with avatArikas/sa~ngati for the verses as per TAtparya-Chandrika {where Bh.RAmAnuja is silent}. This Bhagavad GIta translation portion is available now in a photocopy+bound copy version to facilitate the tamil readers on Bh.GIta BhAshya. Please contact SrI Mukundagiri V AnantapadmanAbhan alias KrishNa <Tel.No. 471-2284> to get the book. ----------------------- The late SrI ChEttalUr NarasimhAchArya SwAmi has already translated TAtparya-Chandrika into Tamil. Unfortunately its not available now. ------------------------------ SrI UtthamUr SwAmi has written an independent commentary in Tamil for GIta, with word-by-word meaning. SrI MAdhavakaNNan, SrI AchyutarAman and SrI Vijayakumar have sponsored for the publication of this work. SrI SrIvatsA~nkAchArya SwAmi is working on it as per aDiyEn's request. It has been planned to be released by the end of this year Or by Jan,2002. ------------------ SrI MadhurAntakam SwAmi has translated SrI VEdAnta DESika's GItArtha-Sa~ngaraha Rakha {commentary to SrI YAmunAchArya's GItArtha-Sa~ngaraha} into Tamil. Its available ; Pub. by the Centenary celebration committee,SrIra~ngam,2000. ---- aDiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan, anantapadmanAbhan.
