Dear Members,

 

This is a humble request for a contribution to Thirukkudanthai Divya Desam.

Please go through the contents. I am requesting members to contribute what

ever amount they can for the TheYr Utsavam (Car Festival). Please pass on

this information to your friends/relatives.

 

Swami Desikan mentions in Srimad Rahasya Traya Saaram that one of the DUTIES

of a devotee is to SUPPORT THIRUVAARADHANAM at Temples and Divya Desams.

 

Please note that even a small contribution can go a large way......Remember

the contribution of a small anil (squirrel) in Ramayanam to the

Sethu(Bridge)?

 

So it suggests that a contribution is not all Small or Insignificant.

Dear Bagavatas,

Recently I visited the Sarangapani temple in Kumbakonam. The temple has

mangalasasanams by four Alwars,

viz Periyalwar, ThirumazisaiAlwar, Namalwar and Thirumangai alwar.

 

Namalwar, addresses the Lord of this temple by the term

" AravAamudhan " in ThirvAimozi . This divyadesam is also called as

ThiruKudanthai. The Lord offers sEvai in

Kidantha ThirukOlam.

The Sannidhi of SriArvAamudhan is in shape of a chariot.

 

The Chirthari Car festival of this perumal is supposed to be held in first

week of May. This year due to lack of funds, the authorities of the temple

have made an open appeal for devotees to contribute for this festival, so

that the festival can be held.

 

I personally felt that it is the responsibility of all Sri Vaishnavas to

contribute generously so that the festival can be conducted as planned (and

as been conducted for centuries). The contributions can be in form of

DD/Cash/Cheque and can be addressed to,

Please mention that the contributions is towards the

Cithirai Thaer Festival.
