Guest guest
sri: Dear Bhaktadigale, I have a small doubt in understanding Sri Bhasyakarar's linage : It is well known that : The second verse of Vedartha Sangraham runs as follows: Param Brahmaivaagnyam Bhrama Parigatam Samsarti tat Paropaadyaaleedam Vivasam Asubasyaaspadamiti Sruthi Nyaayaapetam Jagati Vitatam Mohanamidam Tamo Yenaapastam Sa Hi Vijayate Yaamuna Muni: This verse in the form of saluting his preceptor (Yaamunacharya), also refutes and rejects the Advaita of Adi Sankara, Bheda-bheda Vadas of Bhaaskaraacharya and Yadavaprakasa. Now Sri Bhasyakarar is said to be a 'Vadama' by birth.(Authority :" Periya Thrumudi Adaivu, Pazhanadai Vilakkam and Visishtaadvaita Catechism" - quoted in Golden lives of the East" by Sri V.R.Srinivasa Iyengar published by P. Venkateswara & CO, Madras.(GLE) Was Sri Bhasyakarar in the linage of Advaitam of Adi Sankara or a seperate linage of Bheda-Vada of Sri Yadava Prakashar? Clarifications are earnestly awaited.
