Dear Bhagavatha-s,

adiyEn had the bhAgyam of being able to participate in the thirunakshatram

celebrations of H.H Srimad Abhinava VAgIsha Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla

MahA DEshikan, held at Mysore.

 

With anantha dandavath praNAmams to asmadAchAryan Srimad abhinava RAmAnuja

brahmatantra swatantra parakAla yatIndra mahA dEshikan, adiyEn presents this

small samarpaNamAn at the holy feet of Srimad abhinava vAgIsha brahmatantra

swatantra parakAla yatIndra mahA dEshikan.

 

adiyEn requests bhAgavathAs to overlook all errors that are adiyEn's.

ParakAla matam, the foremost institution of Sri Deshika SampradAyam,

bestowed with the rare honour of having been established by Swamy Deshikan

Himself through one of His prime shishyAs - Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Maha

Deshikan (previously HasthIshar, pEraruLALaiyyan). This institution also has

the honour of having Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar as its presiding deity. This

mUrthy has been worshipped by Goddess Saraswathi, Bhagavad Ramanujar,

ThirukkurukaippirAn PiLLAn, PundarIkAkshar, Swamy Deshikan and the entire

Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla Guru Paramparai.

 

22-04-01 Sunday - Revathi

ThiruvArAdhanam - 8-00 am

=========================

Lakshmi Hayagrivar, Laksmi Narayanar and Sri Kannan are placed on a golden

platform. A detailed thirumanjanam was then performed to the " Lord of the

Vedas " . After the thirumanjanam, the deities were placed in the golden dOlai

arranged specially for the thirunakshatram. ThaLigai was then offered to the

Lord.

 

Sri Sudarshana HOma PoorNAhuthi - 11-30 am

It was then around 11-30 am, when the poorNAhuthi began under the noble

presence of H.H Srimad ParakAla SwAmygaL and H.H Srimad Rangapriya SwAmigaL.

Veda ghOsham filled the atmosphere with mystical reverberance.

After the poorNAhuthi, hundreds of bhakthas and bhAgavathas did

pradakshiNams of the yAgashAlA, reciting Swamy Deshikan's Sri

SudarshanAshtakam.

 

ShARRumuRai - 12-00 Noon

It was now time for periya shARRumuRai. All the bhAgavathas assembled in

long queues in front of the sannidhi. MahAmangaLahArathi was then offered to

the deities. The sARRumuRai then began with chaturvEda, upanishat and

thiruppAvai recitations.

 

AchArya sambhAvana 12-30 pm

The achArya sambhAvana was conducted in grand style staring from Laksmi

Hayagrivar, Periya PerumAl - Periya PirAtti to the present day acharya of

the matam. Detailed sambhAvana kramams were conducted for Sri NammAzhwAr,

Sri BhAshyakArar, ThirukkurukaippirAn piLLAn, Sri Swamy Deshikan, Srimad

Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla Maha Deshikan, Srimad Maha ParakAla Maha

Deshikan, Srimad GhantAvatAra Maha Deshikan, Srimad abhinava RanganAtha

Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla YatIndra Maha DEshikan and Srimad abhinava

RAmAnuja Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla YatIndra MahA DEshikan. The

sARRumuRai then continued with the sambhAvana for prakrtam Srimad abhinava

VAgIsha Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla YatIndra MahA DEshikan. This was

followed by teertha gOshTi. H.H Srimad ParakAla SwAmy then started

brindAvana ArAdhanam as usual.

 

Divya dEsha maryAdaigaL - 1-30 pm

Anugrahams were sent from many divya dEshams and religious establishments.

To quote some -

LaksmI HayagrIvan (AsthAnam), SriRangam, ThiruvEnkatam, Kanchipuram,

ThiruvaLLUr(Special vastram with bright colours and mosaic patterns),

ThirunArAyaNapuram, SOsale, SriperumbUdUr(kAshAya vastram of emperumAnAr),

ThUppul(pavitrams of Swamy Deshikan), AhObila Matam, Mylapore etc. It also

included many other temples in and out of Mysore.

Before samarpaNam of every divya dEsha anugraham, one verse from Swamy

Deshikan's stotram on that PerumAL were sung, if not the AzhwAr pAsuram on

that PerumAl were sung. H.H Srimad ParakAla SwAmy accepted all the

anugrahams with utmost bhakti and reverence.

 

Elaborate arrangements were then made for bhAgavatha tadIyArAdhanam.

 

Vidwat Sadas - 3-30 pm

AchAryAs and all the bhAgavathas then assembled at the vidwat sadas

mantapam, where a grand sambhAvana sadas was conducted.

ParamahamsEtyAdi Sri Rangapriya Maha Deshikan who spoke on the occassion,

remembered the great service that Srimad ParakAla Gururparamparai has

rendered to the SrivaishNava samudAyam. H.H also praised the efforts of

Srimad ParakAla SwAmygaL in efficiently administrating the institution and

praised his efforts in strengthening our sampradAyam.

ParamahamsEtyAdi Srimad abhinava VAgIsha Brahmatantra Swatantra ParakAla

MahA dEshikan who later spoke on the occassion expressed his deep gratitude

to all the present day AchAryas for being so kindhearted towards him. H.H

mentioned that all his thirunakshatrams so far have been celebrated with the

katAksham and presence of another present day AchArya. With great reverence

H.H also mentioned the occassion when once Srimad Azhagiya Singar

voluntarily presided on his (parakAla swAmy) thirunakshatram and performed

Nrusimha ThiruvArAdhanam at the matam. H.H mentioned that he considers this

katAksham of all the AchAryas as his great merit.

Srimad ParakAla Swamy quoting Swamy Deshikan, then said " None of us should

think we have learnt everything and we are experts and we know all. It is

the duty of every aspirant to search for a master in his quest for truth. He

should not give up until he finds a suitable master and should then obtain

knowledge from him. "

 

Sri ShwEtha VarAha PerumAL MangaLAshAsanam - 4-30 pm

Inside the palace premises, there is temple built for Sri ShwEtha VarAha

perumAL. This temple dates back to many centuries in time and has direct

links to the swayam vyakta kshEtram of SrimushNam. Utsavar Sri ShwEtha

VarAha perumAL along with ubhaya nAcchiyArs was brought to the matam in a

beautiful pallakku. Srimad Rangapriya Swamy and Srimad ParakAla SwAmy

offered their mangaLAshAsanam to varAha perumAL. AchAryas were then honoured

with the anugrahams of Sri VarAha perumAL.

 

Let us all in one voice pray to Sri Lakshmi Hayagrivar to grant good health

and a long life to asmadAchAryar Srimad abhinava VAgIsha Brahmatantra

Swatantra ParakAla YatIndra MahA dEshikan.

SrImannUtana lakshmaNArya yatirAjat samprApta turyAshramam |
