It can only be the Boundless Compassion of our Divine Couple and the

blessings of our illustrious AchAryans that brought the five original members

together for what has grown into the central focus of SriVaishnava activity

throughout the world! I am personally indebted to Sri T A Varadhan, who

introduced me to Bhakti list, as it has brought me a wealth of knowledge and

a wonderful circle of friends who have provided me support and strength to

pursue the path of service to emperumAnAr darshanam.

On this occasion, I pray that this wonderful forum of devout bhaktas of

Sriman Narayana will continue to grow and grow, and will encourage

SriVaishnavas from all corners of the globe and from all walks of life to

unite as one family in His Service.

Dear bhakti list folks,

This bhakti list was formed by sri Mani Varadarajan after some arguments

regarding upanisads and advaita during the early days.

Seed stage work was quite less. There were only few posts at that time.

Most of them focused on interscholastic views between different systems of

thought.

I personally think that in terms of maximum number of posts I don't think

there is anyone other then Sri Sadagopan. In that sense I am proud without

knowing accidentally I did some punyam! by introducing Sri Sadagopan to the

list. Thousands have benefited by Sri Sadagopan's untiring efforts. It is

difficult to keep up the pace for years. I never realized that it has been

7 years since the bhakti list was formed.

Sri Sadagopan, thanks for your work. Let everyone in the list take an

active role. Adiyen recently got the blessings from sri Rangapriya swamy

and Sri Srimushnam Andavan ( in bangalore). They all need a lot of support.

Please remember our acharyas constantly. " acharyavan purusho veda " . One

who has an acharya knows God. Support acharyas. This list is to strengthen

our ties to our system of thought and to our acharyas. I don't know why

this is so true that just by reading books, we cannot understand truth. It

has to dawn in our minds from blessings of acharyas. Never forget this

truth. Seek them with " shraddha " ( arvam)

Those who can make it to the Samprokshanam of Sri Ranganatha Temple, please

make it and help the temple. Archa murthy is definitely the most needed in

this life filled with limited happiness. Adiyen had the bhagyam of once

visiting the temple recently in Pomona NY.

Aa no bhadrah kratavo yantu vishvatah - let noble thoughts come to us from

all directions

Srimathe sri lakshminrisimha divya paduka sevaka srivan shatagopa sri

Dear devotees,

Thanks to SrI SaThakopan for his kind note on the

development of bhakti list. Its a real good feeling to

think back of the past.

It was SrI Dileepan's vision to make a " list " sort of

facility wherein all the members can simultaneously

get the e-mails. SrI MaNi volunteered to create such one

since he had the facility and know-how. First thanks

goes to SrI Dileepan for his vision.

SrI MaNi's moderation has been allright only to an extent.

There were many a times during which his decisions

were not fair enough. Almost all the regular contributors

have been in the receiving end for atleast few times. He

has posted nice articles and is a good friend of mine - Thats

a different issue. He has also sided with many personal

opinions of his and others, apart from being favourable

to the other sect in some issues to downplay SrI DESika

SampradAya. But, he personally tries his best to be a

good moderator and has done good job in certain areas.

This is not a personal opinion - This has been the same

with many dedicated devotees who are regular contributors.

Some have even more strong feelings depending upon their

experiences.

But, off-late the moderation has improved, though not

perfect. This is not to pin-point SrI MaNi; But, in Malolan

Net, aDiyEn has the responsibility to set the records

straight, for the sake of its members - ie.The archives in

bhakti list will not be a true reflection of many issues.

While Bhakti List archives is a good source in general to

know about our sampradAya, it also has " lots " of mis-leading

informations about our siddhanta and sampradAya. Also, the

understanding and conviction of some regular contributors in

bhakti list has transformed positively towards the sampradAya

over the years => Many previous articles have mis-informations

of this type also.

For Malolan Net members, aDiyEn " strongly " recommends the

archives of SrI Malolan Net - It is in accordance with the

Sastras which has been explained by our pUrvAchAryas. It is the

best place to know properly about SrI DESika SampradAya

ie.SAstras.

Thank you Sri V.Sadagopan for your message of congratulations.

Please permit me to say that Sri Malola Paduka Sevaka Net was

created by a group of us including Sri Anand, Sri Jagan, and

Sri Rengi. It was set up using a rudimentary filter in Eudora

e-mail client. It was Sri Murali Rangaswami who introduced me

to and Sri Malolan Net was the first to establish a

presence in which came to be known as .

adiyEn would like to thank Sri Anand for the perspective

about the lists. Since Sri Malolan Net has maintained a high

level of commitment to sampradayam and acharya's thiruvuLLam

its archive is authentic and reliable.

An article on SrI SaThakOpan swAmi's appreciation has been published in

another internet egroup absolutely dedicated to SrI VaishNava SrI SampradAyam.

Interested people may write to me (mshari) so that I can forward the

well justifiable article on the moderation policy in bhakti-list.

My recommendation is not fully against the above words. But to get to

know SrI SampradAyam (old and new memebers) in an

authentic manner (of course, the best way is traditional

kAlakshEpam only), please see the archives of Malolan_net.

Malolan_net is not having the moderation policy as it is present

in the bhakti-list. This list has been founded based only on the

vision of SrI Deelipan pArthasArathy swAmi in a very

appreciable manner

Thanks & Regards
