Presented below is an eyewitness account of the celebrations of Srimad

Azhagiya Singar's chaturmasa sankalpam.

 

Veda bhavanam which wears a festive look ever since the arrival of Lakshmi

Nrusimhan looked busy with devotees flocking, to be in time in for Malolan

thiruvaradhanam and the chaturmasa sankalpam of Srimad Azhagiya Singar

thereafter.

 

Srimad Azhagiya Singar started Thiruvaradhanam at 6-30 am. Hundreds of

devotees participated in the thirumanjanam, shatthumurai and teertha goshti

after that.

 

Bhagavatha tadiyaradhanam was arranged immediately after this due to

Grahanam in the evening.

After Bhagavatha tadiyaradhanam at around 930 am, arrangements were made for

the sankalpam. A beautiful platform was created in front of the main

sannidhi, where some archa vigrahams of Nrusimhan (other than the main

deity), poorva acharya-s, sudarshanar etc were placed. Srimad Azhagiya

Singar then performed another Thiruvaradhanam to these dieties. After the

Aradhanam, the sankalpam was conducted amidst vedic chanting and vadya

goshams.

 

This was followed by bhagavatha sambhavanai. After this Srimad Azhagiya

Singar performed other ordained duties of sankalpam in ekaantham. During

this time the ijya aradhanam started for Lakshmi Nrusimhan. Srimad Azhagiya

Singar was recieved back with great honours and escorted into the sannidhi

by a huge sea of bhagavatha goshti. Here Srimad Azhagiya singar then

performed mangala harathi to Sri Malolan amidst vadyams and veda goshams.

This was then followed by Periya shatthumurai and teertha goshti.

 

Almost hundred and fifty bhagavathas then recited pancha shanti under the

adhyakshatai of Srimad Azhagiya Singar.

 

Acharya sambhavanai.started after this. Maryadais and anugrahams had come

from many divya deshams. This was the grandest and longest of the

celebrations of the day. Anugrahams had come from almost 50 divya deshams

including Arangan koil USA which Srimad Azhagiya Singar acknowledged with

great respect and devotion.

Around 500 devotees had gathered for the celebrations.
