Dr.S.M.S Chari , one of the highly respected scholar of Vedantha

will be giving a Lecture on " BhagavadGita based on commentaries of

Shankara, Raamanuja and Madhva " at the Bridgewater temple , NJ .

 

We are indebted to him for the many scholarly monographs

and his untiring service to the AasthikA community around the world .

His familarity with the original texts and his lucid lecturing

and writing style helps us to get closer to the complex aspects

of the different darsanams.His books are treasures in one's library.

 

His current work on the comparitive study of Upanishads as handled

by ShankarachArya , RaamanujAchArya and MadhvAchArya will be a gem of

a contribution for those who seek to understand the different

VedAnthic approaches .

 

The lecure is at HTCS Community Center, in The Bridgewater Hindu Temple, Ph

908 725 4477. The lecture is on JULY 29, 2001 (SUNDAY), from 7PM to 8:30PM.
