Dear Bhagavathas:

 

adiyEn would like to present some more information about

the upcoming upakarma and Gayathri Japam.

 

It seems there is some confusion even for India. adiyEn just

talked to Srimad Azhagiya Singar. Srimad Azhagiya Singar's

nirnayam FOR INDIA is for both Upakarma and Gayathri Japam

to be done on the same day, namely, Saturday, in the following

order:

 

1. Kamokaareesheeth Japam

2. Gayathri's Japam

3. Upakarma

 

Then, adiyEn enquired what to do for U.S. Srimad Azhagiya Singar

said that would depend upon how much Powrnami is present on Pradami.

Based on the calculations adiyEn had made and verified with a few

people, adiyEn submitted to Srimad Azhagiya Singar that we have

powrnami all day on Friday and no powrnami on Saturday. Then,

Srimad Azhagiya Singar gave the nirnayam that sishyas in U.S. must

perform Upakarma on Friday (Aug 3) and Gayathri Japam on Saturday

(Aug 4).

 

I understand Srimad Sri Rangam Andavan sishyas are to perform

both Upakarma and Gayathri japam on Saturday, and Poundarikapuram

Srimad Andavan sishyas are to do upakarma on Saturday and

Gayathri Japam on Sunday. It seems to me that these nirnayams

are for India only. Are they for U.S. as well? If so, adiyEn

would like to enquire the respective U.S. sishyas whether they

submitted to the HHs that in U.S. there is no powrnami at all on

Aug 4th? Please forgive me for any unintended offence. It is

just that adiyEn agrees with Sri Anbil Swami, viz.

 

" ..... consult our Acharyas (but only) after placing before

them all these facts and aspects entirely for their

authoritative opinion. "

 

What ever the case may be, adiyEn fully agrees and respects that

for each sishya his Acharya's word is final. For Sri Sannidhi

sishyas in the U.S. Srimad Azhagiya Singar's nirnayam is to do

upakarma on Friday and Gayathri Japam on Saturday. Please let

me know if there are any further questions.
