The celebration will be held over the Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sep 1st and Sunday, Sep 2nd, 2001 at Washington, D.C. We will celebrate the thirunakshathrams (divine birth stars) of Swami Vedantha Desikan, Srimad Athivan Satakopan, Srimad Devanar Vilagam Azhagiya Singar (43rd Jeeyar), Srimad Mukkur Azhagiya Singar (44th Jeeyar), and the present Srimad Azhagiya Singar, the 45th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam. The Thirunakshatrams of these illustrious Acharyas fall between August 2001 and November 2001. We will celebrate all the Thirunakshathrams in one grand celebration so that sishyas from all over the U.S. can come and participate. The celebration will include Thiruvaradhanam & Nava kalasa thirumanjanam for Sri Navaneetha Krishnan, Dolothsavam for Sri Navaneetha Krishnan, Padhuka Aradhanai, presentations on Sri Vaishnava sampradayam, children's program, music, dance, and much more. We invite everyone to come with family and enjoy a unique spiritual experience. We will make all local arrangements including airport pick up & drop off, local stay, food, etc. Please make your travel plans to Washington D.C. We will soon setup a registration page to enter your travel details. Without the support of all the Sri Vaishnava community the celebration will not be successful. We invite all the sishyas to get involved in the arrangements. Please contact Smt. Vimala Rajaji at 301-545-0212, or Malathi Dileepan at 423-877-9860. We particularly need participants for veda parayanam and dhivya prabhandha parayanam. Also we need ideas for children's programs. Your help and active participation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and we look forward to serving you. -- Sri Ahobila Matam p.s. I request that this post be cross posted in other e-mail lists for wider publicity.
