Guest guest
Sri: Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Guru Paramparaayai Nama: adiyen would like to offer his praNaamams to all the coordinators of the Acharya Thirunakshatram Celebrations that were held in Virginia/Washington Dc on Sept.1-12 for their efforts in making this a grand success. Attempt to describe the events that took place during the TN celebrations will only fall well short of what one actually felt. Amongst all the bhaktas that came from far and near, we celebrated the glory of our Acharya Paramapara. Both the days started off with the nitya aaraadhana followed by thirumanjanam to Lord Navaneetha Dolai Krishna. Constant veda and prabandha paaraayanam interspersed with naatyam, gaanam and stotrams was tuning the hearts and souls of all that were present there to be in sync with the Holy. After the morning festivities, followed by prasaadam, all of us were treated to some scintillating lectures on our Acharya Paramaparaa. To say that those lectures were moving, is an understatement. At times, tears rolled out of the speaker's and listener's eyes alike. Some times these, were the " aanandabaashpams " , and some times they were out of some recalled memories. In the evening, our Lord, Sri Navaneetha Krishnan enjoyed dolotsavam. He pardons our mistakes, realizes our love for Him. He accepted our pushpa alankaaram with the same vaatsalyam, karuNa and daya that He always showers on us, evem when we are making mistakes at a rate faster than we can count! adiyEn was overcome with emotions at the end of the celebrations and wanted to do a saashTaanga praNamams to the coordinators. No only did this unworthy soul and his family were invited to participate in this event and help in its preparations, but it was also suggested to adiyEn at the end of the first day that the celebrations should also include the acharya paramparaa of Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Matham, the thirunakshatrams of some of the acharyas whom we celebrated recently individually. adiyEn carried this command of Sri Dileepan mentally on his head and arrived next day with the pictures of Sri Laxmi Hayagriva and selected pictures of the acharyas. There they were, Laxmi Hayagrivar was by the side of Malolan and Sri Parakala Matham acharyas, the 33rd, 35th and prakritim Jeer of the Matham were gracing us and taking the aasanams by the side of the illustrious line of Sri Ahobila Matham acharyas. One picture was that of the Swarna Vigraham of Laxmi Hayagriva that arrived into Swamy Desikan's hands, passed on to him through the acharya parampara from Bhagavan Ramanuja, who recieved it from Goddess Saraswati. As Sri Anbil Ramaswamy and Sri Srinath Chakravarthy pointed out to us, both the vigrahams of Sri Laxmi Hayagrivar and Sri Malolan have thaayaar embracing the perumaL in these particular forms, as opposed to perumaL embracing thaayaar (Hence the usage of the term Sri Matham by the shishyas, to refer to their respective Mathams). For a split second, the platform on which perumaL was present, appeared as the universe itself and perumaL occupying it, as adiyen was reminded of the line from Sri Hayagriva Panjaram ('sveta parvata samkaasham chandra manDala madhyagam'). Later in the day, Sri Srinath Chakravarthy read a small and beautiful article on Srimad Abhinava Ramanuja Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Maha Desikan, whose thirunakshatram was celebrated on Bhadrapada Sravana (Aug 31, 2001). As usual, we were again all treated to a great evening of lectures, fun filled quiz program and another divya darshanam of perumaL enjoying the dolotsavam. To echo the coordinators' words, what happenned this weekend is not just a one time celebration of our acharya vaibhavam, but we should mark the labor day weekends from our calendars for this event, since this is just a begginning! mEdha gambhiiraya vaachaa vyaakhyaantam nikhilaagamaan brahma shankara vaagiisha bhaaratii vyaasa sevitam sri laxmi hayagriva parabrahmaNe nama: rajeev ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ * _|')_ # # | # _#_ ('|\ * * / |\_/\ # # # | # #\__# \_/| | * * / | | \ ## @ ## # | # ## | ## \ |- * * |/ / # # \ # | # / \|/ \ \| * * ## # ### # ## * ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
