INVITATION FOR " ACHARYA VAIBHAVAM CONFERNCE "

TO CELEBRATE THE TIRUNAKSHATRAM OF TIRUVENKATAMUDAIYAN, SWAMI DESIKAN AND

THE VAIBHAVAM OF ALL OUR ACHARYAS

=======================================================================

Dear Bhagavatas:

You know that a grand Celebration of " Acharya Vaibhavam " is being jointly

organized by " The Hindu Cultural Society of Western New York " , " Swami Desika

Darsana Satsangam " (SDDS), and " Sri Ramanuja Mission " on 29th Sept. 2001

(Saturday) at Buffalo, New York.

Sri Ramanuja Mission, and SDDS are working very hard to reach the message of

our AcharyAs to every town in the American continent where Sri Vaishnavas in

small and big numbers are settled. Nature abhors vacuum. This vacuum is

the cause for many Sri Vaishnavas abandoning their own rich traditions and

going elsewhere for peace and solace. Sri Ramanuja Mission and SDDS are

trying their best to put a stop to this very process.

If you ask me what is the most inspiring thing in a satsangh. I would say:

it is just the 'sight' of 100s of Sri Vaishnavas adorned by Thiruman and

Sri-Choornam. This will inspire our younger generation and their parents to

rediscover their ancient moorings. Therefore we need you and your

participation. The town of Buffalo has been rated as #1 in hospitality

(largely due to the Indian community here). It is a town with a heart. Come

and enjoy our hospitality and help us to rediscover the great heritage that

our acharyas have bequeathed us. There is no parallel to our system. We

are very fortunate to have been blessed by the greatest Guru-parampara

starting all the way from Emperuman.

Great speakers will join us and narrate the glories of acharya Ramanuja,

Vedanta Desikar and Manavala Mamunigal. There will be recitations,

Sudarshana yagnyam and kalyana Utsavam

The tentative program includes -

& #61623; Acharya Paduka Thiruvaaraadhanam

& #61623; Suprabadham

& #61623; Sudarsana Homam

& #61623; Tirumanjanam for Tiruvenkatamudaiyan, Udaiyavar, Swami Desikan

#61623; Alamkaram and Poolangi Seva

& #61623; Nivedanam and Prasadams

& #61623; Speeches by Bhagavad Ramanuja - Desika - Thennaacharya Sampradaya

Scholars

& #61623; Childrens' plays

& #61623; Kalyana Utsavam

& #61623; Various group recitals from Desika Stotras and Azhwaar Prabhandams

& #61623; Kalakshepam of " Srimad Rahasya Traya Saram " and
