Dear Sri Madhavan: I do not know who you are. Your input is so rude that it

intrigues me. I have been involved with number of Kaimakryams

and I have never come across such viscious attacks on the integrity of

the person involved in such kaimkaryams. Please be assured that

no one does these things out of the need for publicity or for lining

their pockets . Sriman U.Ve. M.A.VenkatakrishNan swamy of Triplicae has seen

the Thridhandam before SamarpaNam . We had requested him at one time

to present it to Our EmperumAnAr. His time commitments and

the temple calendar did not synchronize . Many others too at Chennai have seen

 

this Multi-layer gold-clad , Copper base ThridhaNDam !. I will continue to

call

it that until I see it for myself during my next visit to India. If there was

any

apachAram some where , I will personally supervise a new aabharaNam

fitting this description from my own funds. .

 

My sister was the one who supervised the construction of this AabharaNam

and had it created at Abhirami Jewelery ., Chennai.If you are that concerned

that some body is pulling the wool over the public , please verify for yourself

 

and then tell about it and then imply malfaescence.We spent so much

money for the gold cladding , which had to be done by AbhirAmi Jewelery 's

special unit at Swamy Malai or KumbakONam , which I am told has the expertise

in cladding between copper frame and Gold sheets .

 

I do not know who this religious Dharma KarthA is . I was not there in person.

As I explained there , My sister took a lot of trouble to present this

ThridhaNDam inspite of the absurd temple politics , where so many

hierarchies were involved before the samarpanam could reach Udayavar's hand .

It is the bahkthi BhAvam and the ardour that matters in such Kaimkaryams.

 

The temple authorities demanded 5,000 Rs for the execution of this function.

 

I was told by the Sannidhi archakar that the ancient ThridhaNDam had

become " khilam ' in Feb 2000 and needed replacement . At that time ,

I was there to seek Sri PerumbhUthUr Udayavar's blessings for the samarpaNam

of the Mudali AaNDAN at Melkote. I considered it as His Niyamanam and

few BhakthAs joined in the kaimkaryam . That is the background.

 

I reported what my sister was told at SriperumbhUdhUr on the day

of SamarpaNam about the role of the new ThridhaNDam on future occasions.

Some one there went to great length to explain that Our Udayavar has diamond

and Pearl ThridhaNDam , which are used for special uthsavam, days and

rest of the time they sit at the safe. This source was contrasting the future

use of

the new one that was being presented. My sister did not solicit this

information .

If the given description was wrong , we have been given wrong information .

You must be an expert on the Sri PerumbhUdhUr temple traditions

and am glad to know from you that the ancient ThridhaNDam presented by

PoorvAchAryALs continue to be in use . It will always have the most important

significance.

 

I have reported what I had heard from my sister as she was told

by the sannadhi kaimkaryaparALs there . Perhaps the temple authorities can not

even

tell the difference between cladding and plating or do not want to . Now that

you seem to be

intent on casting aspersions and questioning the integrity of the effort , I

would like you to ask

your Religious Dharma Kartha to write to me so that I can check whether any

one

has committed an apachAram and done some thing imporper. This is the best I

can do

from this distance.If the gold smith has duped us and pocketed the difference ,

 

it would be good to settle that matter once and for all .
