Guest guest
sri: Dear Members, First and foremost I wish to thank Sriman U.Ve.Sadagopan mama of NY for the great article. Adiyen has been trying to do some research on the village Kidambi/Kidampi. I have heard elders say that it is a hamlet close to thanjavur, yet do not know if this is correct. I have created a called kidambi to try and make an electronic network and share colloborative information on the kidambi family. I remeber my late grandfather telling me that our ancestors had migrated from Nellore due to the Carnatic wars which was going on during those times. I invite interested readers to join the group either by sending a blank email to kidambi- or by visiting kidambi Regards, Malolan Cadambi --- G K Ramakrishnan <gkrama wrote: > Dear Bhakthas, > > Could anyone please advise the location/whereabouts of Kidambi?. > > Thanks & BRegards=G.K.Ramakrishnan/Kuwait/11.12.01 > ================================================== > >Sadagopan <sgopan > >tiruvengadam > >bhakti-list , , > >parakalamutt , , > >tiruvengadam > >[tiruvengadam] The Name Kidampi > >Sun, 9 Dec 2001 21:30:28 -0500 (EST) > > > >Dear BhakthAs : > >the question has come up number of times before > >on the origin of the name Kidampi , which is > >spelled in a number of ways . > > > >I cam across a posting from U.Ve.Sri SrivathsAngAcchAr > >Swamy , which will be of interst to you all. > > > >There was a vamsam of kainkarya parALs at > >the ancient shrine of YathOkthakAri, who > >incarnated before Lord VaradarAjan to > >protect BrahmA's Yaj~nam at Hasthi Giri. > > > >They performed Theertha Kaimkaryam > >( Thriumanjanam ).
