Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe ramanujaya namaha Dear Members Sri Sridhar S has uploaded pictures on Last Year's Vairamudi Utsavam in his personal website which can be accessed at http://www.geocities.com/sree101275/melukote.htm I request members of the lists who have had the chance to witness Vairamudi Utsavam post their experiences if possible in this list. Melukote is one of the four important kshetrams which we chant in praise about during our sandhyavandanam everyday.I also request members who have had the bhagyam of attending this year's Vairamudi to upload the pictures if possible. Sriman K Balaji of Bangalore posted his divine anubhavam in Melukote last Sunday. To read about the utsavam itself transports me through the monitor into the veedhis of Melukote. Indeed, blessed are those who have had a chance to attend the Vairamudi Festival ------------------Begin Message--- "K Balaji" <kbalaji@c...> Tue Mar 26, 2002 11:21 am Re: Bus Trip from Bangalore to Melukote Dear Shri Malolan I had an excellent darshan of Vainadeya(Vairamudi) Sevai at Melkote. Thanx for your timely mail so that I was able to contact Sh Manavalan to get my tickets booked. For the first time I had been to Melkote for Vainadeya Mudi sevai and I got thrilled to see the Lord with Vainadeya Mudi on Garudan. Nearly two lakh people thronged to witness and have blessings of the Lord in Vainadeya Mudi (Crown offered by garudan to Lord). Lord alongwith His consorts was decorated beautifully with flowers, jewels and Crown started for Veehi urappadu at about 9 pm on 24th and inched on the prakArams to pour His blessings on devotees. After purarppAdu, there was a long queue for Moolavar darshan till 1 am. At about 2 am Lord arrived back to the mandapam opposite to the temple to get decorated with Raja Mudi. After completion of all administrative formalities at 4 am Lord appeared out of mandapam in res-stone studded Raja Mudi with the decoration of new set of flowers and jewels to enter into Temple. And it was time for us to start our return journey. Blessed are those witnessed the Sevai live. I really missed this event live in the past years and Lord has given me anugraham only this year. Hope He would shower his grace to witness more.
