This time Ekadasi vradam for cities in continental USA falls

on different days. The vradam must be observed on Monday

April 8th for most of the cities east of Mississippi, and on

Sunday April 7th for most of the cities west of the river.

This is due to the fact Ekadasi begins close to the sun rise.

We need to be careful with the computations due to the change

in time this Sunday from Standard time to Daylight savings time.

 

The following summary of the computations is based on sudda

vAkya panjangam and the nirnayam rules given in the " Kelvi-bathil "

boom by Sri Melpakkam Narasimhachariyar Swami published by

Sri Visihtadvaita Research Centre.
