Guest guest
SrI: SrImathE Gopaladesika Mahadesikaya namah: Dearest Srivaishnavas, I have placed a zip folder in the files section " Srimad Gopaladesika Vimsathy " . It is an English poem written by Sri CG Balaji Swamin (Grandson of Dr Sri NS Anantharangachar Swamin) on asmadhAchARyan His Holiness Srimad PaRavakkOttai Andavan Swamy. This was printed in a book and was released on Swamy's 20th year of Sanyasa Ashramam celebration. adiyEn and Sri Hari Swamin were one of the privileged ones (along with other great scholars) to receive from swamy at Srirangam on Mar 8th. Swamy read the poem and blessed Sri Balaji, approving the same, like Sri YathirAjar did on Ramanusa nooRRanthAthi. The poem is a well written one and I am reporducing the first few verses for your ready reference and enjoyment. You need to place the font suitably in your computer which is also in the ZIP folder. I made Sri Balaji accept my request (to post this) with lots of efforts. he did not wish to be publicized, due to his humility. ============================ A hymn sung on the glories of asmadacharyar Shrimath Paravakkottai Poundarikapuram Shrimad Andavan, Shrimath Gopala Deshika Maha Deshikan (Panguni ¡V Rohini) This is a small work with 32 verses in English along with commentary. This work has been delineated to celebrate asmad swamy¡¦s twenty years of acharya peetaadhipatyam. The first few verses glorify the acharya paramparai or preceptor lineage. This is then continued with the Vimshati (20 verses) sung on asmadacharyar, Paramahamsetyadi Paravakkottai Poundarikapuram Srimath Andavan, Srimath Gopala Deshika Maha Deshikan. The work is finally concluded by acharya vandanam and acharya mangalam. This work has six sections. The structure of this work is as follows - ƒá Section 1 - Sriman Narayana and Sri Maha Lakshmi - 2 verses ƒá Section 2 - Aasthana Perumal - Lakshmi Hayavadana - 1 verse ƒá Section 3 - Nammazhwar, Ramanuja and Deshikan - 3 verses ƒá Section 4 - Thirukkudanthai Gopalaarya Deshikan - 1 verse ƒá Section 5 - The three acharyas of asmad acharyar ¡V 3 verses ƒá Section 6 ¡V Vimshati on asmadacharyar, Srimath Gopala Deshika Maha Deshikan, celebrating his glories ¡V 20 verses ƒá Lastly acharya vandanam and acharya mangalam Totally, 2 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 20 + 2 = 32 verses. It is only the parama kataaksham and anugraham of Swamy on adiyen that has made him attempt to celebrate Swamy¡¦s glories. Swamy¡¦s anugraham is so powerful that it can even make an unworthy being like adiyen attempt to extol him. Adiyen takes responsibility for all the mistakes present in this work and at the same time requests the merciful indulgence of asmad Swamy and Bhaagavathas in forgiving the same. With these words adiyen humbly presents this garland of verses at the feet of his master, Srimath Gopala Deshika Maha Deshikan.
