Guest guest
sri: Srimate Srilakshminrisimha Parabrahmane Nama: Srimate Sri Lakshminrisimha Divyapadukasevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri NarayanaYatindra Mahadesikaya nama: Dear Bhagavathas: I was hoping the chapter on " Thaniyan " e-mail by Sri Anand was closed sometime back. Unfortunately, it is not going away. Some are urging members to leave Sri Malolan Net and others are sending e-mails attacking Sri Malolan Net. Some of you may have received such e-mails. This is to put the matter in perspective for all the members. 1. Sri Anand already apologized for the offense caused. 2. adiyEn wrote a detailed personal e-mail to Sri Velukkudi Swami about this matter, and, 3. adiyEn exchanged several e-mails in private with a well known Thenacharya follower to arrive at some mutually acceptable resolution. In spite of all these efforts, e-mails have been sent to several members of Sri Malolan Net criticizing Sri Malolan Net as a breeding ground of misinformation and apacharam. This is most regrettable. All our members know very well that membership into Sri Malolan Net is restricted. However, once admitted we would trust the judgement of our members and we do not monitor the posts. Therefore, Sri Malolan Net has remained unmoderated in the most part, and hopefully, will continue to be so in the future. Members are free to post what they want. If some offending posts appear we can only take action in retrospect. In this particular instance Sri Anand has already apologized. No action is warranted at this juncture against Sri Anand. Yet, Sri Anand's original e-mail is used as an opportunity to attack the entire Sri Malolan Net. No distinction has been made between a post by a member, and the entire forum. The fact that Sri Anand has already apologized for his post did not make any difference. I request the members of Sri Malolan Net to decide what is truth and what is not. Before I close I would like to request members to, (i) continue to post incisive articles about our Sampradayam, (ii) make sure the views you express are supported by our acharyas and that you can defend them in any open forum, (iii) not hesitate to write about sensitive and controversial topics, but do so in a sensitive way, (iv) not criticize views of other sampradaya that glorify their acharyas, and, (v) not forward Sri Malolan Net mails to other lists. We request the members to express their views about the policies of Sri Malolan Net. Please send your comments to me or post them in the net. Please remember, we want to maintain the uniqueness of this forum, otherwise there is no reason for Sri Malolan Net to exist. -- adiyEn ramanuja dasan Srimad Ahagiya sigar thiruvadi
