Guest guest
sri: Srimate Srilakshminrisimha Parabrahmane Nama: Srimate Sri Lakshminrisimha Divyapadukasevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri NarayanaYatindra Mahadesikaya nama: On this auspicious Thirunkashtram day of the one free of any blemish, namely, Madhurakavi Azhvar, the quintessence of Sri Vaishnava Sri, the embodiment of Acharya bhakti, let us remind ourselves of the ten-fold relationship between jIva and Bhagavan that is more aptly cherished between a sishya and a sadacharyan. adhikAra sangraham #2 ---------------------- inbaththil iRaincuthalil isaiyum pERRil igazhAadha palluRavil irAgam mARRil thanpaRRil vinaivilakkil thagavOkkatthil thatthuvatthai uNartthuthalil thanmaiyaakkil anbarkkE avadharikkum Ayan niRka arumaRaikaL thamizh seydhAn thALE kondu thunbaRRa madhuragavi thOnRak kAttum / tholvazhiyE nalvazhigaL thuNivArgatkE. 1. blissful enjoyment of Bhagavan (inbaththil) 2. surrendering at the lotus feet of Bhagavan (iRaincudhalil) 3. accepting Bhagavan as the apt fruit for the true nature of the soul (isaiyum pERRil) 4. realizing many different types of connection with Bhagavan (ighazAdha pal uravil) 5. with the grace of Bhagavan annihilating forbidden desires (rAgam mARRil) 6. developing attachment towards Bhagavan (than paRRil) 7. eliminating sins (vinai vilakkil) 8. being an object for Bhagavan's grace (thagavokkaththil) 9. realizing the truth of what is to be known through Bhagavan's grace, (thatthuvatthai uNartthutalil) 10. reaching an equality of status with Bhagavan (thanmaiyAkkil) Madurakavi AzvAr realized these ten-fold relationship not with Lord Kannan present on this earth in Vibhava form (anbarkkE avatharikkum Ayan niRka), but with Sri Nammazhvar (arumaRaikaL thamizh seydhAn thALE kondu). This divine path revealed to us by Madurakavi who is free of any grief, is the hoary (vedic) way for those of us who are determined. As a sishya our duty include (i) worshiping our Acaryan as the Lord, (ii) feel deeply indebted to him for the teachings of esoteric secrets he has conveyed, (iii) not wasting the teachings through bad habits, (iv) spreading the Acharyan's fame far and wide, and (v) protecting the secret manthrAs and their esoteric meanings from public glare. As sishya we must realize that worshiping the acaryan, meditating upon his auspecious characteristics, broadcasting his praise, celebrating his thirunakshatram, etc., come nowhere close to the great help the Acharyan has gracefully provided. -- adiyEn ramanuja dasan srimad azhagiya Singar thiruvadi Reference: Desika Darsana SAra sanghraham, by Sri u.vE.
