Dear SrI VaishNavas,

 

With reference to SrI Dileepan pArtasArathy swAmi's note to me to write on

intricate aspects of our rAmAnuja sampradAyam, I had expressed my interest in

writing the same in detail. The only idea behind the series will be

" understanding our rAmAnuja sampradAyam " in

the " learning perspective " . I will follow the rules and guidelines,

which are followed in SrI mAlOlan net. These posting series titled " rAmAnuja

SampradAyam " are exclusively for SrI mAlOlan net only.

If a member of mAlOlan net wants to publish a posting or series of postings or

a portion of a posting in other email nets/lists/journals etc, he/she must get

my permission and that of SrI Dileepan pArtasArathy swAmi in writing before

doing so. I do not want intellectual discussions to be reduced to silly

controversies. My writings will be purely based on works of great ubhya

vEdAnta vidwAns like SrImath MadurAntakam swAmi, SrImath uttamUr swAmi,

SrImath purisai swAmi. If there are responses to my postings, I request the

members to quote pramANams. If my postings " rAmAnuja SampradAyam " lead to a

debate, then I wish that to be based only on pramANa-anuguNa tarkam. I will

cover sidhdAntam as well as anushTAna vishyams in these postings. Vibhutvam,

Iswaratvam, upAyatvam, dayA etc are in sidhAntam to name a few. SAdyOpAya

anushTAnam, urdhva-puNDra dhAraNam, dandavath-praNAmams, ghanTa nAdam etc are

in anushTAnam to name a few. PUrva-pakshams in these concepts will be refuted

only for the sake of knowing and ascertaining sidhdAntam as known and

ascertained

in " rAmAnuja SampradAyam " . In refutations, personalities and personal beliefs

will not be entertained. The series will be started from SrIman nrusimha

jayanti day.

 

I thank SrI Dileepan pArtasArathy swAmi regarding his recent

clarifications in the net, which are perfect and purely based on

pramANams. I also request SrI Dileepan pArtasArathy swAmi and other

members to kindly share comments/critiques on this mail.
