to implement many timely projects including the expansion of

electronic access of the Guru Kulam students and the faculty

to the outside nodal centers in India and abroad.

adiyEn can visualize a day , when this center

would become one of the key nodes in the nation

for the collection of rare manuscripts and preservation of

them in digital forms instead of the current media

with limited-life like palm leaves and paper. By the way,

the Sanskrit Academy of Melkote under the leadership of

Dr.Lakshmi TatachAr is doing yeoman work in the use of

computers for the research area .

 

Since you are the first aasthikA to respond to

adiyEn's appeal , let me share with you and fellow

aasthikAs some thoughts that adiyEn has about

the ways that we all can contribute to honor

SrI Bhagavath RaamAnuja SiddhAntham through

the reinforcement of this Center of excellence at

MadhurAnthakam as it spreads its wings to build

the first computer Center for the students of

a premier GURU KULAM STYLE institution committed to

the advancement of SrI VaishNavite Theology,Religion

philosophy and its practise at its five schools.

 

Most of us who have been blessed to use electronic media

and new media technologies and appreciate the enormous benefit

such access confers on us. It will be a dream come true

to this pioneering Educational Institution in MadhurAnthakam

to lead the way and forge ahead in this area to link the students

to the invaluable treasures of our timeless sampradhAyam

in old and new media and at the same time enhance their potential

to serve the Aasthika Community and stabilize themselves economially

as well after graduation.

 

Besides the traditional uses of computers for instruction

(Face to face and asynchronus learning ) and information search ,

it appears that the digitalization of the valuable publications

housing priceless articles by our revered AchAryAs and

great SrI VaishNavite scholars that appeared in the past

720 issues of Nrusimha PriyA and the past issues of

SrI RanganATa PaadhukA , HayagrIva PriyA and other scholarly

journals of interest to our community on every aspect of

Our venerable siddhAntham .

 

This could be a research project . Future generation of

scholars , wherever they are, can access these archives

for instruction and research.The priceless material

housed in these journal issues are diffiuclt to access

today by students and scholars alike.

 

These are just adiyEn's thoughts ; adiyEn is sure

that Secretary SrIman Sridharan will welcome your

active particpation , feedback and support that would shape

the agenda and programs of the MadhurAnthakam Schools in

the 21st century.

In conclusion, the Funding needs to inaugurate this Computer

center is modest ($4,000 ). Half of that has already been

raised . With an active particpation from India and abroad ,

we as a community with our respective AchAryA's blessings
