Dear Swamy Desika BhakthAs:

 

adiyEn is delighted to learn about the plans for

the celebration of Swamy Desikan's Thirunakshathram

at Singapore under the leadership (adhyaksham)of

SrImAn Hari SarangarAjan Swamy . Singapore BhakthAs

can consider themselves truly fortunate to

have a dedicated Swamy Desika Bhaktha in their

midst and to learn about our divine SampradhAya Granthams.

 

It is very welcome news that there will be special emphasis on

Swamy Desikan's ParamArTa Sthuthi , a salutation to

the Thirupputtkkuzhi PerumAL , SrI Vijaya Raaghavan.

This web site contains a full text of SrI ParamArTa Sthuthi

of Swamy Desikan and has in addition sections on

where AchArya RamAnujA as a young man had

Poorva Paksham KaalakshEpam with Yaadhava PrakAsA ,

who later became AchArya RaamAnujA's sishya.

 

Thirupputtkuzhi smaraNam (rememberance) is tantamount to

smaraNam about the great AchAryAs of SrI VaishNava Paramparai.

 

Great SrI VaishNava AchAryAs used to live in this agrahAram

and reinforced the rampart and edifice of SrI Bhagavath

RaamAnuja darsanam in difficult times .

 

In most recent times , the life histories of great

AchAryAs are linked to this dhivya desam during

the different stages of their lives. The dust of

the agrahAram of Thirupputkkuzhi is sacred because of

its links not only to the Thiruvadi of Lord Ramamchandra

but also those of great AchArya Paramparai going

all the way back to RaamAnujA . Many of the AchAryAs of

recent times have direct and indirect links

to Hasthigiri/ThUppul/Thirupputtkkuzhi because of

their links to AchArya RaamAnujA and Swamy Desikan.

Here are a few of the AchAryAs of the past 500 years

upto now and their AchArya Links via SrI BhAshya ,

Rahasya Grantha and Bhagavath Vishaya paramparais:

 

1.Pancha Madha Bhajana Taata Desikan ( 1509-1591 C.E),

SrI BhAshyAdhi KaalakshEpam under Sri Vangipuram

venkatAcchAr Swamy , who later adorned the throne of

SrI Ahobila Matam as the HH SrI Shashta PaarAnkusa Swamy).

 

2. SrI Lakshmi KumAra Taatha Desikan ( 1572-1632 C.E)

known for his devotion and Kaimakryams to Lord

VaradarAjan of Kaanchi.

 

3.ArasANippAlai SrI Venkataadhri Swamy , the author of

Lakshmi Sahasram ; a nephew of Pancha Madha Banjana

Taatha Desikan.

 

4. Few decades later , Upanishad BhAshyakArar , SrI

Ranga RaamAnuja Muni , SaakshAth Swamy , Thirukkudanthai

Desikan ( Munitraya SampradhAya pravardhakar), SrIrangam

Andavan Paramparai, SrI PouNDarIkapuam Andavan paramparai

and in a separate line KozhiyAlam , KEdaNdapatti and

Garudapuram Swamys and their paramparais including

SrI UtthamUr Swamy.
