Guest guest
Shree Bhoomi Neela Sametha Shree Lakshmi Nrusimha Parabramnaeye Namaha Shree Van Satagopa Shree Vedantha Desika Yeteendra Maha Desikayaa Namaha Dear Sri Malolan The following is Sri Sannidhi Anushtaanam.. Akstaakshara Japam is done before upasthanam and immediately after Gaayathri Japam with proper Anganyaasa Karanyaasam if not atleast with Lagu padhannyaasam. During Praathas sandhyaavandhanam and Maadhyaanikam both the japams are done in standing posture. During Saayam Sandhyaa Vandhanam one can either sit facing west or north and do the japam. The no of ..Akstaaksharam to be meditated /chanted (Japam to be done) must be the same that of the number of times Gaayathri is done. During Praathas Sandhyaa Vandhanam both your palms (hands) are raised in level with your face/ eyes and during maadhyaanikam they are in level with your shoulders and during Saayam Sandhya above your hips and near your stomach. Gyaathri and Astaaksharam are the only manthraas counted by covering your palms with a " Vasthraam " . and the way to keep count for the both the japmas are the same.. For astaaksharam you have seperate Sankalpam and seperate Pranaayamam. (3 *28 times with astaksharam). The way to keep count of Dhvayam and other Manthras are different from Gayaathri and Astaakshri. The count is maintained by each of your fingers on your right hand for all manthra japama except Gaayahti and Astaaksharam. (Whereas for the Gayathri and Astaaksharam each of the digit( " kanu " )(excluding the middle ones in your middle and " pavithra " finger).) The above mentioned procedure to count is know to everyone. Dhvyam and other manthraas are not a part of sandhyaavandhanam. Dhvaya Japam is done after your praathas sandhyaavandhanam while you do your manthra Japam. In this Mathra Japam one does Astaaksram Dvayam Charmaslokam and any other mantra(s) that one got initiated. One doesnt really need to bother about time and place to chant Dhvayam. regards Dhaasaanu Dhaasan Naidhruva MadaBoosi Venkataraaghava Dhaasan
