Guest guest
Shree Bhoomi Neela Sametha Shree Lakshmi Nrusimha Parabramneya Namaha: Shrimathey Shrivan Satakopa Shree vedantha Desika Yateendra Maha Desikaaya Namaha. Dear Shri R.Venkat Adiyen humbly feel that " Shudhi " cannot be obsrved anywhere outside India (for that matter even here in India too particulary in Chennai).. The situation here is no better than that in UAE. Many of us here claim to be vaideekas but believe adiyen ....it is not so... Let us not adiyen not dwell in to that. Adiyen humbly believe that a " gruhasthan " must always wear Kacham and Gruhasthas must defer from wearing a " Thatti " veshti (4/8 Muzham Veshti) please.Insist on that please. If dheval is really particular in practising such anushtaanaams but find it very difficult in places like UAE follwoing may throw some light. 1) One can do Mantra Snaanam atleast if not a proper snaanam.... .. 2) If one cannot wear a " madi " veshti you can sprinkle (do prokshanam) with Pranavam + Bhoor + Bhuva Svaha On the vasthram and wear Proper Pancha Kacham.. ...Or wear a " Pattu veshti " ...(Change to another veshti/dress after you finish your anushtanam and particulary while you eat). Dont wash your " pattu " veshti. 3) You can do Sroutha Aaachamana atleast (touching the tip of your nose and right ear) if you think doing aachamanam takes a little bit of time. There are many such things one can do.. Refer to Idhaaneem azhagia Singars's Sree Vaishnava Sadhaachaara Nirnaya ... and browse through .. you will very often and frequently stumble upon many procedures and anushtaanams that can suit us anywhere. Remember none of the above is useful if one doesnt perform Sandhyaavandhanam. Atleast recite/meditateupon (the whole of sandhyaavandhanaa mantras and procdures) if you cant find water/place to do sandhya.(while travelling especially).. If the above is not acceptable perhaps Vidwans and Parama Vaideekas can come up with Noodhana Sandhyaa vandhaanam and Noodhana Sri Vaishnava Karmaanushtaanam and Sudhis... considering the plight of many.. Shree Dharmmam is not followed rigidly by many sri vaishnava women themselves.. We must be happy that atleast they wear " pottu " instead of wearing " paravai or animal or Kathi or Kabada or Kelvi kuri " (latest modern trend) to sanndihi. Kumkumam is mostly worn as " pottu " and it is not really wrong wearing it as a " pottu " though they are advised and suggested to wear " Aaandaal Thiruman " . regards Dhaasaanu Dhaasan Venkataraaghava Dhaasan P:S:- Please refer it as Uthreeyam and not Anga Vasthram. -
