Actualy, there is. Dr Varadachary mentions this in his book " Agamas and South Indian Vaishnavism " . The vadagalai form of the Urdhva pundram is explicitly mentioned in the pAcharatra Agamam. However, the thengalai form finds no mention. There is a difference between the red and the yellow srichUrnam. The red is actually a flame. I have give my copy of the book to my friend, will write more about how urdhva pundram is mentioned in the pAncharAtra agamam. -Regards, Malolan Cadambi Everything you'll ever need on one web page from News and Sport to Email and Music Charts http://uk.my.
