adiyEn is attaching a note from SrIman Sathya Narayanan of

Chennai regarding the anthima kriyai for the great VidwAn

SrI U.Ve. Purisai Swamy .He has now reached his AchAryan

Thiruvadi .His scholarship on any and every topic related to

SrI VaishNavam was legendary. He was Vaidhika Sri personified .

 

One of his major kaimkaryam was the Editorship of

Nrusimha PriyA for over 50 of its 60 year History .

His grandfather , HH the 42nd pattam Jeeyar

( SrImad InjimEttu Azhagiya Singar )founded

SrI Nrusimha PriyA magazine . As the son of the only

daughter of the revered 42nd pattam azhagiya Singar,

SrImad Purisai Swamy , it was most appropriate that

he presided over the operation of SrI Nrusimha priyA

and grew it today's stature.

 

On this occasion , may I request all those , who

benefitted from KaalakshEpams and other interactions

with the great SrI vaishNavite scholar to come forward

and support the Scanning and Digitalization project

to archive the SrI Nrusimha PriyA Journals of the past

60 years for the benefit of posterity .CD ROMs containing

all these issues will be released for your use.

 

The pilot edition consisting of the first 7 years (84 issues)

is getting ready for samarpaNam to Prakrutham SrImad

Azhagiya Singar on his forthcoming 76th avathAra dinam

next month .

 

We have sponsorship so far from 18 sponsors ,

who have contributed $2,542 towards the target of

$7,000 needed to convert all the 720 plus issues

of SrI Nrusimha PriyA from the year 1942 -2002.

We have now coverage of support for 21 of the 60

years .
