Guest guest
Dear friends, I would like to share my view on the first 14 slokas of Gita. Please bear with me as I am not good at expression and do not have command over language. 1.) There was a war between Dharma(Pandavas) and Adharma (Kauravas). It was inevitable. 2.) Supreme Personality of Godhead SriKrishna was on the side of Dharma. 3.) There are many pious and noble persons on the Adharma side also. For eg: Bheeshma, Drona and Krupa. They somehow reluctantly participated in the war. 4.) It seems the chief of Adharma (Duryodhana) was a bit tense about worrying the outcome of the war. And there was no record of mental situation of Chief of Dharma side. 5.) Just to make chief of the Adharma (Duryodhana) happy, the commander in chief of their side (Bheeshma) blew the conchshell. It seems Bheeshma is not wholeheartedly willing the war. 6.) In response to that on Dharma side INSTEAD OF their commander(Drushtadyumna), the Lord blown the conchshell. It is marvellous and gives courage to all pious people in present age. 7.) I feel the author of Gita (Bhagavan Vyasa) aimed to project the Lord Krishna as the sole protector of the Dharma though He is not directly involving the war. Sri Veda Vyasa stressed this point by making the Lord to blow the conchshell in response to Bheeshma deva. Humble Regards Jaya Kishore Pattaswamy holy_gita [holy_gita] Friday, March 08, 2002 2:41 AM commentary of first 11 slokas of first chapter of holygita dear friends, When i have requested the members to comment upon these slokas, i received quite a few mails giving reasons why they cannot do it. Most of the messages were just that- reasons and excuses and nothing more that. It is vivekananda who said, " if u think u r weak, u r weak. If u think u r strong, u r strong " so simple as that, yeah. Now, i request each of u to reply this message, either substantiating or condemening these slokas . It helps you, me and the society at large. Just a few lines of what you think of the above slokas. There r people who r apprehensive but yes, as long as u know how to type , go ahead and do it. PLeae do it blissfully, voluntarily and not under pressure or force. NOt because I said so but coz u feel so. If u donot feel, go ahead and still do it, coz u may feel it later. They r also another type of people who have lots to say but obviously do not find either words or time for it. If u belong to such type, please reply this message immediately just listing out the points u want to say without much explanation. That saves ur time and/or groppling for words. Never bother for words. It is the feeling and experience which counts. I am interested in YOU and your experiences. Please write about them. thank you kishore
Guest guest
Dear friends, I beg pardon of all devotees of Lord Govinda for my ignorant remark of point no 7 in my previous mail below. Please believe me it sounds not good for me also. I will never make such kind of mistake henceforth. I am a devotee of Sri Ramachandra. Janaki forgiven all sins of Rakshasis who surrounded her in Asokavana. Sri Rama also accepted Vibhishana without any test or such kind of thing. He declared that surrender itself is enough. Likewise I believe pure devotees who are in quality of our Acharyas can also forgive me.
