Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam! Vidva:n - Jna:nam Human beings should mainly have ‘jna:nam’. SriRama learnt all the vedas, vedangas, sasthras to the fullest extent and had a perfect knowledge of all the martial arts like archery etc. So He is a ‘vidva:n’. SriRamachandra in spite of being a great scholar of adorable ability was very humble. Humility results from good education. SriRama has been praised , “sarvasa:sathra:rdha thathvajnaha smrithima:n prathibha:nava:n” Knowing the sa:stra:s, grasping their meaning and assimilating their ‘ththvam’ was possible for SriRama. They should come to one’s memory whenever needed. One should have the skill as to utilize them judiciously. SriRama had this exceptional caliber. Just knowing the sastras is not enough for a human being. Contemplating on them and implementing them as and when required is necessary. This had been elucidated to the world by SriRamachandra. Bhagavan who is ‘Para’ is known as ‘sarvajna’. He is also mentioned as ‘sarvavid’. He knows everything in its entirety and He who knows each one of them individually to the minutest detail is ‘Bhagavan’ only. The thathva that carries on the business of ‘srishti, sthithi, laya’ is ‘Brahmam’. The quality ‘sarvajnathvam’ is required for this. He has to know the various ‘karmas’ of all the ‘jeevas’ (souls), their differences, into what bodies the ‘prakrithi’ should be changed to make them undergo their ‘karma', What types of substances to be created, which tools to be provided for their experience of karma and what places to be created for their experience. Thus He provides 'bho:gya padhartha, bho:gyo:pakarana, and bho:gastha:na'. So He is a 'sarvavid'. To be continued... Jaisrimannarayana!
