Guest guest
Sreemathe: Ramanujayanamaha!! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam !! SriRama aspires for the welfare of the humanity. His goal is to strive for the same. This is the main objective of ‘Bhagavan’ also. SriRama is glorious for protecting the needy seekers, for being generous and magnanimous. The Lord’s name is ‘Yasaswi’ Upanishad says that Bhagavan’s name is ‘Yasaswi’. ‘Thasyana:ma mahad yasaha’. SriRama is ‘jna:na sampanna’.He is the erudite in all knowledge . He is well versed in all veda veda:ngas, and ‘va:rtha:’ meaning ‘krushi goraksha va:nijya’.He is an expert in wresting and archery with the knowledge of all ‘asthra:s’ and ‘sasthras’ and many more things. Bhagavan is ‘sarvajna’ who knows all substances by their form and nature. SriRama is ‘parisuddha’. He is not only clean in body but also is pure in thinking. ‘yo: arthe: suchihi sahi sachihi’ The greatest ‘suchi’ is with regard to wealth. In respect of woman and food one should follow some code and have control on oneself . This is ‘suchi’. SriRama has such ‘suddhi’. Bhagavan is ‘parisuddha’. No evil or vice touches Him wherever He is. He glows with His ‘guna:s’. He eradicates the sins of people who keep connection with Him. He awards purity to the pure. He is praised : ‘pavithra:na:m pavithram’. What is ‘purity’? Purity is not to have wickedness. To have something in one’s mind and doing something else is wickedness. To have the coordination and togetherness of all the three instruments in doing things (mano: vakka:ya karma) is called ‘a:rjavam’. Only the Lord has this quality. Though Lord Srimannarayana had come in a human form as Sri Rama to teach the mankind humanity He never thought even in his manas(mind) that he was really the ‘Para’. When the devatha:s told Him that he was actually Lord Na:rayana He says, “Athma:na:m ma:nusham manye:” ‘I am thinking I am a human being’, and Sri Rama always considered himself a human being . This is ‘a:rjavam’. He was so in his words and actions. So ‘suchi’ means ‘a:rjavam’. Bhagavan also has ‘a:rjavam’. He does what he says. SriRama is ‘vasya’.(submissive) He is subservient to his father, guru and to the rishies. When his father ordered him to accompany Viswa:mithra he readily agreed and followed. Even though he felt it a sin to kill a woman, when his guru Viswamitra told him to kill a lady demon,he carried out his instruction with reverence. When his father told him in the court and in private, ‘you have to become a king, tomorrow is your coronation’ or when his step mother asked him to go to the forest he did not raise objections and did accordingly. This is his general nature. The Lord also obliges his devotees. He behaves in accordance with his devotees' wishes. It is'Bhagavad swabha:vam'. When they want Him to dwell in an idol and bless them He readily accepts their wish and accepts the vigraha as His divine body and fulfills their desires. Sri Rama has 'sama:dhi'. What is 'sama:dhi'? To be continued..... Jaisrimannarayana!! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanujadasi.
