Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha!

Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!

Sri Rama is the chief provider. He takes care of

the needs of all and provides the necessary things

and satisfies them.

He eradicated the enemies of the ‘rishi:es’

and fecilitated for everyone's uninterrupted

‘dhrma:charana’. Sri Rama blessed his brother

Lakshmana by providing his service. He awarded

life to a crow and performed the final rites

for an eagle and became a ‘po:shaka’. We see

Sri Rama as the ‘po:shaka’ for all the ‘jeevas’

through out SriRamayana.

Bhagavan is also ‘Po:shaka’

He brings the jeevas and the bodies together,

then provides them with Vedas that present the

necessary knowledge and gurus to impart that

knowledge to the mankind. Thus Bhagavan is the

‘Provider’. The One responsible for the existence

of the ‘jeevas’ is ‘Parama:thma’. Parama:thma

undertakes the responsibility of maintaining

the ‘swaru:pa’ of 'jeevas'. Hence He is the

‘dha:tha’. SriRama eliminates the enemies of

those who come under his refuge. He safeguarded

Viswa:mithra and Sugreeva by eliminating their

rivals.

Bhagavan also removes the enemies of His devotees.

Paramathma has no opponents. The ones who trouble

His devotees are his foes. So Bhagavan is

‘Ripunishu:dana’.

Bhagavan takes incarnations for ‘dharma rakshana’

(protecting dharma) and ‘sa:dhu parirakshana’

(protecting the innocent). Valmiki heard this and

wanted to know ‘who in this present world is that

great person adorned with the Godly qualities’,

Na:rada replies that Sri Rama is that person. The

purpose of‘Ra:ma:vathara’ is ‘dharma rakshana’.

But he came as a human hiding his Godliness

completely. He took birth as a ‘nara’ and showed

through his practice that the duty of mankind is

to follow ‘dharma’.

Hereafter Na:rada enlightens Valmiki on Sri

Ramachandra’s ‘dharma pa:lana’.

To be continued......

Jai Srimannarayana!

Ramanujamma Mudumbai,

Ramanujadasi.
