please read this appeal with patience.

 

Every one in the srivaishnava religion knows about the

importance of the padaravindham of Emperumaan and

Aacharyas.it has been enlightened by almost all of our

Aacharyas.

 

Emperumaans padharavidham (thiruvadinilaigal) is

called the " sataari " (srisadakopan) and swami

nammaazwars padhuka is called " ramanujan " (except in

azhwar thirunagari where it is called " madhurakavikal "

in due respect given to the eleventh azhwar who had

nammazhwar himself as his perumaal).Emperumanaars

padhuka is called " mudaliyandaan " and the lineage

continues till our swacharyan.

 

This appeal is to collect donations from the

srivaishnavas residing in US to make a " swarna

mudaliyaandaan " for swami udayavar in Thiruvallikeni

sri Parthsarathi perumaal kovil(which has the

speciality of having five perumaals in one temple and

utsavams almost thruoughout the year).

 

This holy task is taken up by the UDAYAVAR KAINKARYA

SABHA a very old sabha in triplicane which is

dedicated to swami udayavar in the temple and which

has done a lot of kainkaryams and aabharanams for

swami udayavar over the years by collecting donations

from the aastiga mahajanathaar and srivaishnavas.

Anjali hastam,hasti kreetam,kalizahitha

tridhandam,nithyapati tridhandam ,kal vaitha

yagyopaveetham are to name a few.

 

Why Thiruvallikeni? lets see...

 

According to pillailogham jeeyar swami who wrote the

divya charithai on Ramanuja says " Ramanujas father and

mother kesava aasuri and kanthimathi ammangaar came to

Thiruvallikeni and did puthrakamesti yaagam on the

banks of the holy water kairavini(thiru alli keni) for

a son to uphold their family virtues.Emperumaan

Parthsarathy himself blessed the couple in thier

dreams and said " it is not enough that i did

geethopadesam but i need to write a bashyam for that

so that whole world gets fructified by that.For that i

myself will be born to you as swami " .

 

In this ideeham that Perumaal (Geethacharyan) himself

is born as swami Udayavar, in triplicane swami

Udayavar has the festivals on equal footing with the

perumaal that includes ten day annual thirunakshatra

(chitirai thiruvaadhirai)festival with thani purapaadu

both mornings and evenings,special thirupaavai

saathumurai,kanaadi arai sevai (usually it is

only for perumaal),Night thiruvaimozhi

sevakaalam,vidayathu utsavam,mandakapadi in

gangai kondaan mandapam and yathugiri yathiraja jeeyar

matam, vahana saathupadi etc. for these festivals ,

maasa thirunakshatra utsavams and also on panguni

utram when swami recited the Gadhyatrayam.

 

The mangalasaasana sevai every evening needs a

thousand eyes to see with swami with the Yathiraja

vimsathi and stotra paata gosti and upacharams like

Kudai ,visiri, samaram and kattiyams at various

Perumaal and Thayar and Azhwaar sannidhi's by the

kattiyam karar.All these festival kainkaryams are done

by the UDAYAVAR KAINKARYA SABHA by collecting

donations from ubayadhaars.

 

Last year this sabha presented to Swamy a special

peaarl studded NaNMUTHU KONDAI for Swamy to wear it in

the festival this is the latest of this sabhas

kainkaryam . Also this sabha has collected money from

the public and has submitted the temple the Velvet

pannagam with jari( upper cover for the big palanquin)

and has refurbished the old pannagam for the small

palanquin and also has submitted the complete set

called thiru ther seelai with traditional kooralam

kumbai corner flags etc for the temple small thiru

ther.All these were done last year.

 

There was a long felt feeling in the sabha that our

swami Udayavar should have a " swarna mudaliyaandaan "

as like perumaal who has " swarna srisadagopam "

himself.The sabha has made a theermanam

stating that a swarna mudaliyandaan will be made by

collecting donations from all asthiga janathaar

srivaishnavaas and will be donated to the kovil with

due respect .The total cost estimated for the

swarna mudaliyandaan is 4 lakhs rupees.

 

I invite all Ramanusanadiyaargal to donate generously

towards this kainkaryam and send your donations to

" Sri udayavar Kainkarya sabha " .Proper receipt will

The foto of the swarna Mudaliyaandaan will be

sent to all the donors.
