Guest guest
Dear BhakthAs: I am attaching an edited version of a note from Sriman Krishna Kasyap regarding a great kaimkaryam by Dr.N.S.A. Swamy .He is about to complete his scholarly, rare and welcome manuscript on " Upanishads " in ENGLISH according to Bhagavath RaamAnuja Darsanam .There are a plethora of books on Upanishads based on Advaitha and Dviatha Darsanams . Rare indeed is a book on Major Upanishads in English , which has been available. Dr.N.S.AnantharangAcchAr Swamy 's monograph (500 pages) would follow the classic 16th century work in Sanskrit by SrI Ranganatha Muni of Srirangam and other AchAryAs of the SrI VaishNava paramparai that preceded him . The Upanishadic Foundations of SrI BhAshyam and other major works of AchArya RaamAnujA are unassailable. This book from Dr.N.S.Anantharangachar Swamy of Bangalore dealing with such foundations would prove to be an invaluable source of reference to us all in times to come. Please let either Sri Krishna Kalale or myself know if you wish to acquire a copy of this rare book awaiting release. V.Sadagopan " As you all know, the number of books available in English on Upanisads according to the school of Visistadvaita are only a few. English books are very important for us and our next generation. Hence it is up to our generation to what is needed to bring out such rare books. Dr. Anantharangachar, a well known Ubhaya Vedanta Vidwan is trying to bring out a book on Upanishats containing all important passages along with their translations in English according to the school of Vishishtadvaitha. Important passages from Mahanarayana, Subala and Kaushitiki and other principal Upanishats will also be included. The book will be about 500 pages . The manuscript is almost complete. I personally feel that " na hi jnanena sadrisam pavitram iha vidyate - bhagavadgita " . 'There is nothing more sacred than knowledge here on earth " . Spreading this divine upanisadic message to everyone including the next generations is an important kainkaryam. Thanking you, for SVSS , Krishna Kashyap (Kalale) shriimate laksmiihayagriiva lakshmiinaaraayanaabhyaaM namaH
