Guest guest
Sri:mathe: Ramanujaya Namaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale: Saranam!! Sri Rama is an embodiment of `kalya:na gun:as'. He has tremendous valour and hence has the caliber to protect his subjects. He is filled with all the great virtues. Dasaratha ruled his kingdom with complete authority (without any obstruction to his chariot in all the ten directions). Dasaratha decided that Rama is the most able one to rule such an empire. Being his eldest son, he is also the rightful heir to the kingdom by birth. He is concerned about the welfare of his subjects. He is dear to all his people and his ministers want him to be the king. King Dasaratha desired fondly to coronate Sri Rama as yuvaraj since he is righteous, his dearest and eldest son. He is also concerned about taking care of the welfare of his subjects and kingdom. With the consent of his subjects and the ministers, Dasaratha made necessary arrangements for required paraphernalia for the ensuing ceremony. Kaikeyi learnt from Mandhara, about all the preparations for the coronation ceremony with meticulous detail. Earlier Dasaratha had granted Kaikeyi two boons for her assistance as a charioteer while defeating Sambara:sura. She is the daughter of king of Kekaya rajya. On Mandhara's instigation she asked Dasaratha to fulfill those two boons immediately .She demanded Rama's banishment to forests and her son Bharatha's coronation as yuvaraj. The promise Dasaratha made to Kaikeyei could not be broken. Dharma lies in consulting with his ministers and performing the coronation of Rama. But Dasaratha though bound by Dharma, being `sathyavachana' (truthful to his word), agreed to send Rama to the forest. Rama accepted his father's word as his command and to keep up his father's promise to Kaikeyi ,to keep his pledge he made to Kaikeyi in the presence of his father, and without refuting his father's words that were uttered to placate Kaikeyi's feelings, he left for the forests. To be continued.... Jai Srimannarayana!! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanujadasi
