Guest guest
Sri:mathe: Ramanujaya Namaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale: Saranam!! SriRamachandra is very dear to Lakshmana. He always followed SriRama's footsteps. It was against his nature to stay back at Ayodhya while SriRama was proceeding to the forest. So Lakshmana followed SriRama to the forest in all his friendliness and humility to render his service. Na:rada described beautifully SriRama's love for Guha : `guhe:na sahitho: Ramo: Lakshmane:nacha si:thaya:' . SriRama joined by Guha, could feel the togetherness with Lakshmana and Sitha. Lakshmana and Sitha were with Rama earlier too, but he was purportedly feeling lonely till he met Guha. When Rama was united with Guha, he could feel the happiness of his togetherness with Sitha and Lakshmana. A mother cannot experience the joy of her togetherness with her two children if her loving third child is away. Whenever she happens to be with that third child too, she experiences the pleasure of being with her other two children also. We understand from this sloka that Rama's love for Guha was so great that it made him forget even Sita and Lakshmana who were with him. This is SriRama's `sousi:lyam'. In this manner with Guha's help they crossed over the river Ganges and were going from one `Vana' to the other. They were progressing ahead with Lakshmana in the front and sriRama at the back protecting one another. Thus SriRama reached the forest for the sake of `Lo:ka rakshana'. Sri Rama's intention of entering the forest was chiefly for " Dushta Samhara " of Ravana and other demons. While walking(trailing) through the forest they did so effortlessly and curiously, enjoying their journey without feeling any burden. Enroute they saw many rivers overflowing with water. They reached the hermitage of the sage Bha:radwa:ja. On Bharadwaja's command and direction they reached Chitraku:ta. They were passing through the forest by foot. Sage Bharadwa:ja was a protector of people, a celibate, a scholar of Vedas and `Yoga parinishtitha' and a highly powerful seer. Binding to his word, they reached Chitraku:ta , a mountain with astonishing peaks, hence the name `Chitraku:ta'. There Lakshmana built a hermitage. All the three roved in the woods happily. Like the celestials they lived happily there. Here `ramama:na vane: thrayaha' , the three –Rama, Lakshmana and Sitha lived there with great pleasure. To be continued.... Jai Srimannarayana!!
